I think I lagged harder at the release of Ulduar compared to Wotlk..

Ive def had more issues during content patches then xpacs

the lag will be less significant because of all the phasing. In the first phase, yeah it'll be laggy, but in the last phase your fps will resume normallity. The que times will be bad, but you can use the time to study for final exams, or read a book, or exercise, or open the blinds on your window.

Unrelated, but Bellsouth and AT&T costumers had a really bad bug with some of the servers at the launch of WotLK. Apparently AT&T was refusing to accept some connections causing people to have insane lag or be disconnected. I leveled to 80 on my first character with this problem. It was all over the technical forums. Suffice it to say, Blizzard's numerous calls got it fixed.

I had ATT during WotLK launch, and had no issues at all.
