I hope they make 100000000 dollars. The fact that they went back and remade Azeroth in the shattering for everyone, not just the players that purchased Cataclysm speaks to how good of a company these guys really are.

The answer is: approximately three metric fucktons. I've already paid for my main's race change in advance, and because I've wanted to play a tauren paladin since the game launched, I changed my paladin's, too.

This week alone IMO - 4 million box sales x 49.99 + Race change sales + old subscribers coming back i'd guess 250-300 million ...that is the very lowest end number it could be much much higher depending on how many of the 12 million subscribers buy cataclysm the first week.

To be completely honest, I don't care how much money they make from the game I freely choose to spend my money on to play.
If it helps them keep providing a quality product then I am all for it, and if you dont think the product is quality - stop spending your money on it and find something else - I'm really not interested in your qq about it.

I think they actually won't break any records (selling within a given time period), as many people have already bought the game over the Blizzstore. I am one of them. If we just think of the income as a result of this product, and not within a certain period of time, they will most likely be swimming in cash in the coming weeks/month.
