Faction Change Before Cata?

Hello, Im considering to buy a faction change for my main before Cata and wait until Cata is officially released to actually use the change to make him a Goblin. Do anyone knows if this is fail proof? Has anyone asked a GM about this? If so, what did he say?

I'm pretty sure you can do that.
Of course you won't be subject to "Server First" achievements, and I don't know how long it will take the process your payment with Blizzard going into a most likely "overdrive mode" with the expansion release in a few hours.

I know you can faction / race change the same day as it goes live, but will it work if I purchase the Change BEFORE Cata, will I be able to choose goblin or it might fuck up? Anyone knows? :P

Yes, I'm sure it will work.
I know of a good few people that are doing that.
