Yeah I know how you feel, I destroyed my ashes, my onyxia mount, invincible, and my ZG tiger because I saw the dark phoenix, someone with a drake, a dude on a horse, and a night elf on their racial mount.

After blizzard saw everyone standing in the fire they decided to let everyone now ride on the fire =P

I never liked the phoenix model... it was to bright to really fit with anything but i guess at some point it stand for skill.
But during wrath it only stand for luck and now there is one that stands for spend time... its not a huge step down

I'd prefer to have Ashes of Al'ar vs. the Dark Pheonix mount. Although the Dark Pheonix may appear "cooler", it's certainly not as rare.

But still looks better. All that matters to me really. After all, it's just a mount.

Well, theres a reason tons of people ask me where I got that darned Time-lost Proto drake, and don't ask how you got that red one. Color matters apparently. I just wanted a Proto-drake and didn't want to do all the darned Heroic achives.

Which is why I ride either the celestial steed (I don't care what others think, I personally like the model and purple is my favorite color) or the Violet Raptor.
