Collectors Edition FAIL

So the store I ordered Collectors Edition hasn't shipped my order, they said:

Hi Steven, Unfortunately the game that you order is a Pre-Order and the releasing date is today 7th December. We will dispatch this order as soon as we receive the stock from the supplier. Kind Regards <company name>.


Whats worse is its normal postage so it could be weeks before I receive it, so looks like my only option is to buy digital and sell my CE later on.

Did you pay for it in full? If not, just dont pick it up. My local store did the same thing with my FFXIV CE, so I refused to pick it up. Now they're stuck with a CE that they wont be able to sell.

That would be the store's fault, actually.

They took a precaution when it came to shipping in case you obtained it before the actual "release" date.

Also why I avoid to buy that stuff online - much prefer to go to a store and get it. Which I am at a local Gamestop.

The servers are going to be full/slow/laggy for the next few days anyway.
You should have picked it up or just got the online version.
The collector's edition didn't look worth it at all.

Well there not, they will just sell it too the next customer, most preorders are only held for a certain time before you either lose your deposit or get refunded, read the companies t&c's

OT, that sucks Judging by the grammar though, you didn't use SomeSuspiciousThirdParty did you? You should always try to buy from reputable sources to avoid that sort of thing.

Well i just upgraded my account, its saying cataclysm, and i use the WTF edit to download it before work a couple of hours ago, looks like no CE for me.

my gamestop said they wouldn't even have enough collector editions copy for all those who pre-ordered it lol

it will be first come first serve for them collector edition fighters. but I'll hapily walk out with my normal cata dvd
