DK Tanking Weapon

Hey there,

I'm just curious from the better DK tanks out there, is tanking with an agi weapon still "viable" at the moment, or are we restricted really to strength weapons? The precise comparison I'm after here is weighing up my: http://www.wowhead.com/item=56131 with my: http://www.wowhead.com/item=65168

Obviously the more itemisation and higher top end are pretty desirable. But I'd heard we're only restricted to strength weapons now, is the probable threat loss (loss of attack power) and fact that Agi no longer gives us armour killed using agi weapons?

It's not going to kill you, but your threat will be lower unless it's a big ilvl jump. If you currently have something like a crit/expertise strength weapon, and you would be changing to a haste/mastery agi weapon of same or better ilvl it would most likely be a good idea.

Agi still gives you more dodge than str gives you parry.
The loss in STR is not much of a problem, those 60 DpS, strike damage and crit make up for it.

The Rockslicer is a more defensive weapon (mastery) while the wildhammer is more tps (expertise).

prepare for the DW tank is NO good barrage with this post. but I would love to see a DW dk with a MH tank wep and a OH dps wep but hey if wishes were fishes id be eating sushi every day

Just let me answer this question rather quick: No.
344 combined stamina is bad. even the wildhammer has 400somewhat stamina

DW tanking still hase some serious issues.

DO NOT use this thread to discuss DW tanking.
If you want to have an adequate discussin write a good starting post and discuss it there.

Although the Rockslicer looks like a level 1 grey. I don't know if that's glorious, or terrible! :P
