Death Knight PvP with Dark Simulacrum

For all you Death Knights out there, even if you don't PvP at all, this is an appreciation thread. Our three new spells - Outbreak, Necrotic Strike, and last but certainly not least, Dark Simulacrum - are all incredibly useful and amazing for PvP.

But today, this thread is being constructed in appreciation of one of my favorite spells of all time; Dark Simulacrum.

Let me break down just how useful this spell is.

• Got a Warlock bearing down on you? Pop Dark Simulacrum (DM for short) right before he fears you. Pop Lichborne/Trinket, and give him a taste of his own medicine.
• Trying to take down a Priest? Throw a DM on 'em. There's a good chance that you'll end up stealing a bubble or heal to use on yourself.
• Basically, any time your target spends mana on ANY spell, you get it.
• Most importantly, its instant cast and free!

So, MMO-Champion, there you have it. Just a little bit of gloating from on overly-ecscatic Death Knight.

(Psssst. If you guys like this. Do you want me to make a Dark Simulacrum guide? I was thinking about it, but wasn't sure if anybody would actually read it. Let me know what you all think. )

I am in love with this spell, guide would be nice and somewhat useful. Makes me want to lvl my DK. ;>
I can imagine using Dark Sim to Mage's in arena right before they cast sheep, to get some awesome CC going on.

No, as it cannot be dispelled unless by a Mass Dispel or removed by a Shatter Throw.

If you copy Devouring plague, will your strikes deal dmg as if it were 3 diseases on the enemy? (or 4 for unholy)

Thats probably during the Beta, I wouldnt rely too much on that source.

Thats a good question, I'd like to know too, but I doubt Blizz would be so intricate with a spell like that. I assume DS only "holds" the spell. It's not a DKs ability therefor it isnt a DKs disease. Thats how I'd look at it.

yOu can stole pet but they have a limited duration the dk DMed pet If i remember it was 1 min last night

Silly question, were the DK images casting frostbolts like the mage ones or were they meleeing?

You wont be able to....
to copy a spell the target needs to use mana and since dks dont have that resource it wont trigger
