If you have taken the time to create a video of your boss kills, feel free to post them here. I am updating this post to include the videos uploaded/linked by others as well as my own videos just for the sake of easy linkage. Feel free to post your 10 and 25 man kill videos. I'd like these videos to be from MMO-Champion posters only. Take pride in what you have accomplished and share it with the rest of us.

Because these are early boss kills, please keep your critiques of the playstyles constructive. Accept the videos for what they are, that being of educational purposes for a player of your spec in a fight that you may or may not have defeated already. Mistakes will happen, but that is acceptable as long as the bosses die. Everyone has room for improvement and that includes the people that were willing to share the videos of their kills with you.

Over the next week I'll be making a bunch of videos of the bosses that we (<Summit>) defeat. Several of them have already been downed once, but I was unable to capture the video for those kills. Thursday night we killed Valiona and Theralion in Bastion of Twilight (25). This is my first video of this expansion but there will be many more to come.

Unlike my WotLK videos, this one does not include the game sounds or vent chatter. The content is nowhere near as difficult as Lich King HM25 and thus I figured it was unnecessary. These videos will continue to be strictly from a Ret PoV(mine).

Prentice, what is your cut off time in clcinfo/clcret for Inquisition ? Default is 3 seconds for clip, I know, but is it better to change it to 6 ?

Another thing , prioritizing TV over AoW Exo. Is that intended or was that part of the "mistakes" you talked about? As far as I know AoW Exo procs are top priority unless we have Hammer available ( and the DP procs is saved and carries over for the next build up if it so happens ).

I considered using a /stopcast macro for Exorcism, but I decided against it. I have found myself in situations where I couldn't get into melee range and actually wanted to cast it. That's why. Not a big bother though. There are plenty of other flaws that I need to work on to even consider worrying about that one.

The UI that I am using is a slightly modified version of the ChertiUI v3.3 bundle from wowinterface.com. The "skin" applied to clcret, bartender, and my buffs is ButtonFacade:Sleek. Buffs are handled by Bison and THEY CAN BE RIGHT-CLICKED OFF!! WOOT!!

Pretty sure my cutoff time is set to 5 seconds. You are correct about the default of 3.5 seconds. I pushed mine out just a little because I am trying to force myself to keep the buff up more effectively. Trying to make it second nature right now. At times you can see that I skip Inq when clcret suggests refreshing it. Thats why.

The AoW Exo vs TV thing is likely a mistake. If I had the time to make the decision, I would totally be hitting Exo. Unfortunately, muscle memory is telling me to mash TV right now. Trying to break the habit.

While I didn't have a lot of faith in the development team to deploy the ret changes properly (and they didn't), I maintained the opinion that I would wait and see how I liked the gameplay at 85 before deciding to continue or not. As it stands right now, I am thoroughly enjoying playing retribution. There are a number of factors that have led me to that opinion.

-Holy Radiance: It is an amazing spell. It covers the utility niche that I was afraid we lost when Aura Mastery and Divine Sacrifice became unobtainable. I find myself using this spell several times per raid boss and on every other pull in heroics.
-Rebuke: We have an off-the-GCD interrupt with a short cooldown. Prayers have been answered.
-Hand of Sacrifice: I was often afraid to use this spell in WotLK because it had a very good chance of killing you. Right now there isn't a huge gap between tank HP and DPS HP. Also, the boss mobs aren't hitting as hard as they used to in WotLK which would lead to the HoSac gibs.

I like the rotation. Not much else to say. While it definitely needs tweaking, I am actually satisfied with ret gameplay. My spot in the raid group is very sure. Life is good.

I agree, its something I try to do in certain situations. Although I've had some instances where I keep getting amazing rng with one of my cds, use holy radiance, forget to judge over higher priority spells. I've actually went oom in this rare occassion!

I personally prefer Chatter (chat addon) over prat. Also, I don't care for ElkBuffBars because they are, well, bars. As such I replaced that addon with Bison. clcrect is very easy to setup given the information already provided. There ya go. The full UI kit you are seeing and very easy to set up. Enjoy.
