Why do Druids consistently ninja nodes?

The answer must be: Because they can. Harvesting in Flight form is already an unfair advantage, why exploit your fellow players? If you see a player landing on a Node, try not to swoop in and steal them. You guys are getting a Bad name.

I don't think they care, druids have their own city, they poop on people in bird form, they poop in the woods in bear form, they poop on roads in cat form, they poop underwater in walrus form, they have no respect for anything except trees.

Being a druid myself, I can see why you are mad. At the same time; my druid is not my gatherer and I enjoy when I mine on my paladin that Non Druids and Druids alike will come and steal my node when I am fending off a mob.

No difference is my point. Druids just have it easier to steal and not get in combat.

Druids are the farming class - everyone knows this. It's an unfortunate advantage, but it is what it is.

Nothing anyone can do about it.

If you wanna change something in WoW, go to the official forums... Blizzard can't hear you here.

To be honest i don't think any druid would give up the adventage just cuz you're QQing, seriously..

Night elf and tauren druids can also pick herbs in .5 seconds. I make it a point to steal every herb I can from other people while they're in the middle of picking it so that they make threads like this.

The same reason anyone else ninjas nodes. It's not really class specific, although druids do have an easier time of it.

For the same reason that dogs lick their balls - because they can, as you said.

And how can you "ninja" a node? First come, first serve. Now, if I'm fighting a nearby mob and someone else swoops in and grabs it, I get a little irritated, but them's the breaks. On a related note, all of my gatherers are either Druids or pet classes. If you can't beat 'em... Oh, and I will only steal a node from Allies. Hordies get a break as long as I can clearly see them. I'll even take the time to ask them in white chat if they're mining or picking. But if they clearly swoop in when I'm engaged and don't ask, they're fair game.

it's easiest to do on my druid, and i get the pleasure of pooping on you while i fly away with your twilight jasmine

My main is a druid. I agree we do have a great advantage farming nodes like herbs and many quest items that don't require you to switch out of flight form to loot, I love this aspect of the class its great for the more casual player. But, personally, if I see someone who was there first and is after the same herb or in combat on the ground trying to clear the way to it I will not loot that node as a courtesy. And I've never pooped on anyone's head... ...well, alright maybe once or twice with the "/em poops on %t's head" command ...

Always druids who ninja nodes on my server; other classes have some self respect.

  12. #12
I expected some colorful answers. No biggie. I am not mad either. I just think having some common courtesy is expected from all, and I would call you's out on it. It's pretty unfortunate that people don;t care about their self respect, ah, but that's the world we live in.

Last time I checked you can't mine in Flight Form. You can herb in form but you still have to land to do it.

PS. It's not an unfair advantage - it's a perk of being a Druid. Just like Paladins, Hunters and DKs have a mount speed increase, Mages have ports etc. Roll a Druid.

Well, its just the same when you have to fight a mob to get to a herb or ore. And then just when you killed it some other person comes and steal the herb or ore you were supposed to take. Would say thats more annoying than having a druid fly and grab one.

A lack of planning on your part (e.g. rolling a druid) does not constitute caring on our part

But seriously, druids were made to gather. I have both mining and herbing on my druid, with 310% flying...

I don't ninja nodes. If someone is already there, I let them have it (even if they are fighting mobs). There's always more nodes. Can't say the same about the competition, plenty of rude behavior there, from both same and opposite faction. First statement in this paragraph is void if the toon described is in the 2nd.

You realize they do not get that current node quicker by being a druid. You are just as fast at farming from the point you land. It is the tauren racial horde side that gives them 4x faster herbing. The advantage they get is by not having to mount up, and as of 3 days or so ago if you are in a guild you are moving 10 percent faster than a druid in flight form mounted so the advantage isn't that great. Unless you are not in a guild.

I farm herbs on my druid and sometimes I grab nodes with people nearby and sometimes I don't. Sometimes you really can't tell if they are completing one of a few quests that happen along the riverbanks in Uldum. The new guild speed buff doesn't stack on flight form so people are flying faster than us now. It's a little more fair than it used to be.
