Greetings and welcome all to my world of warcraft guide. hopefully this guide will teach you on how not to suck at a dungeon or raid. the guide will be broken into three different parts, Tank/DPS/Heals and it will explain to you what to do and what NOT to do, as well as what your rotation, talent build, tips, gems, flask, addons, ect...
now for the flask/potions and elixirs. Flask of Steelskin its pretty good and increases your stamina by 300 for 1 hour. Mythical Healing Potion can restore 7500-12500 health or the Earthen Potion that increases your armor by 4800 for 25 sec, make sure that you always have a good amount of potions and flask in your bag you really dont know how good you LFG may be or in case a group member may need then, also make sure you first aid skill is up to date, for protection Paladins or Druids(since we can heal) its not really a demand but for other classes that are not hybrid it is.
Tanking a dungeon
tanking, as you go in into the dungeon/raid make sure you always have your agro ability on, for paladins is Righteous Fury, for warriors Defensive Stance Passive and [COLOR="Red"]DK Improved Blood Presence, when your facing adds make sure you have complete agro on then and please keep the adds off the healer(s) otherwise you will most likely die and make sure you study your class very well, there are a vast variety of abilities that you can use to survive or keep others out of harm for example, paladins Hand of Protection, also, do not get overconfident, just because you can take some damage doesn't mean you have to pull more adds than you can handle and in case something goes wrong and you are about to die that is why you have your potions, extra health and damage reductions abilities, ex: DK's's Icebound Fortitude which reduces damage and makes you immune to stun, and what i think its the most important thing of all, ALWAYS make sure you have a good amount of agro.
rotations(spells may not be at full power, cant find the high level links ) plus talent build
Deadly Boss Mods= tells you bosses abilities(some raids wont even let you in if you don't have this add on)
OmniCC= tells you what abilities are on cooldown and the time remaining before you can use then again.
ITS OVER 9000
Ok lets move to the dps, here you will find gems and current rotation for some class specs, as well as talent trees build(if i can get then up )
some tips for dps, first be prepare have your pots and bandages ready, as well as mats for ench or crafting something, one of the must important rule of dpsing a dungeon/raid is to never ever take the agro from the tank, there are few addons that will tell you when you have agro such as Vuhdu and Omen Threat Meter, in case your taking heavy damage and your about to die use your pots or instant heals(if you have any) dont wait for the healer to heal you(they may be busy), you must always be prepare to face the worst possible outcome, good communication and team play is always important, if raid is taking damage or someone is about to die heal/bubble/help then and dont worry about your dps dropping its always for a good cause, another thing you are NOT the tank, therefore dont pull any unnecessary adds without consulting with the tank first, and last DONT STAND IN THE FIRE!!!!.
Range dps, range dps is very important in a group, you guys have the same rule as the melee but im going to add a few, first of all, always stay in range most range are cloth wearers and can take heavy damage, second, most range classes use pets, if you have a pet make sure its on passive so it doesn't pull the boss or any adds, seen that happen too many times, also make sure you are targeting the right mob otherwise your gonna get agro, if you do get agro i suggest you have feint or ice tomb in hand.
Shadow Priest rotation: 1) Mind Blast when 1+ Shadow Orbs up to maintain Empowered Shadow ONLY
2) Shadow Word: Pain
3) Devouring Plague
4) Vampiric Touch
5) Archangel at 5 stacks of Evengelism
6) Shadow Word: Death only if the boss has less than 25% health
7) Shadow Fiend
8) Mind Blast
9) Mind Flay
