Hi guys, I just started leveling a priest (LvL 7 now >..>) and it's rather dull, just spamming smite:P.
Does the leveling get funner or easier?
Thanks :3

Abandon all hope to humanity and you won't be disappointed in random LFGs.

funner with talents i would imagine
level 7 is a good time to gauge a class's playstyle.

Why would you even create a topic on this...
You already know the answer

It gets better.

I know they fixed it a lot. It used to be annoying until you reached shadow form, but i'm almost positive at level 10 that you get penance if you go down the disc tree as well as other talents if you go into shadow
Wanding and smiting is what you get till 50ish, then it gets slightly better but not much. 70-75 was the worst part because shadow has no aoe and disc takes forever to kill stuff.
well if was seriously inquiring ...
their new priest leveling is shitty.
you don't get any good talents or AOE until way later. 1-50 is stupid boring. you don't even get mind control for a while. they pushed all the good spells back.
Ok Thanks for all the comments after I explained myself a bit more And as I am planning to go questing/LFG should I go shadow for the extra damage whilst questing, or go disc for the healing in dungeons?

If you're seriously asking, priests never touch Smite as shadow later on. They use Mind Flay, Mind Blast, Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, Vampiric Touch, and Shadow Word: Death. It actually takes some focus. Shadow was never really "shadow" early on but with talent trees you pick up Mind Flay at lvl 10 now which is the down time spell for the rotation. Nowadays it really doesn't get to it's true form with all your tools until about 50, and even then the only aoe (mind sear) isn't until 74 (even if it is crap) and shadowfiend is 66.
Essentially, yes it does get better later on if you enjoy managing dots. If you hate dots then you best stay away.

Vamp touch + SW:Pain = everything dies till level 85.
Its a very fun class, I have retired my druid to play it, and even my warrior is on the side line.
It is a very high utility class and can pump good dps.
To answer your question: It gets a hell of a lot better
My Advice: Go shadow to level, get disc if you wanna pvp or get holy if you wanna heal (disc is pvp healing mainly due to the beating you can take)
Don't worry too much on stats till you are high level, just keep stacking int till 80+ (unless there are little gains from it).
level 7 is not a good frame of reference to judge any class. Get to level 10 and pick your tree and you get more buttons to push. It's kind of like saying the first stage of this final fantasy VII game is boring I only have 2 characters and two spells I can cast.
