Terran, Protoss or Zerg? Why?

Hey everyone

This thread is dedicated to Starcraft II players, and here's my question: Do you play Terran, Zerg or Protoss? And why did you choose that race?

I'll start,

I've chosen Protoss because I've allways played Protoss, I absolutely love their design, specially the units such as the Zealot, Dark Templar, the Executor as well, if you guys take a closer look, you'll notice they're very similar to the Predator! It's so freaking awesome. Needless to say i'm a complete fan of the Predator series btw :P.

I also love the freedom of building up your base, you grab a probe, you warp in anything you want and your worker won't be retained while building it (i.e SCV) neither it gets ''killed'' as the drone does while morphing into the structure.
Another factor that leads me to be in love with the Protoss is the sounds of battle, I've allways enjoyed the voices, ever since Starcraft: Brood War of the Zealot/Dark Templar/Archon and I also love the Protoss ''language'' , En taro Adun! ^^<3.

They've made an even better work in Starcraft II, how can you not enjoy those blades of the Zealot slicing our foes? Or the Stalker's sniper blasting out roaches and stuff like that? Not to talk about the wonderful Colossi burning up things with their awesome lasers. Void Rays are magnific, I absolutly love their speech and calm while you click on them, plus it's such a great unit, attacking while moving and such. Just as the Void Ray, also the Phoenix is so awesome, so mobile, can also attack while moving and even harass ground units , his voice is also wonderful.

So after this reflection, I can, without a doubt, say that I love the Protoss. What about you?

Yea looks like I failed there, accidents happen no need to get yourself look smart with those -.- , hopefully some mod will move this thread soon, and maybe meanwhile some SC 2 players will reply while it's here.

I'm Protoss, we're just there, like the Alliance. They're just there, lol, they're supposed to be the most advanced, but they get a beating from the other two.

I LOVE going Zealots/Chargelots and Phoenixes, then Immortals when I have the chance.

Zealots and Phoenixes are my FAVORITE units, with just those 2 and superb Micro Skills, I do superb most of the time.
My favorite moment was when it was 2v1 after my partner left, my Army of Phoenixes killed an equal sized army of HYDRALISKS, I almost jizzed my pants, how my hard counter was countered, oh I was happy. My Zealots just tore open their base and killed the enemy Stalkers.

It depends on the matchup. On PvZ I often go for fast exp followed by 4 gate, mass stalker and some colossi later on. On PvT I ALLWAYS go for a cheesy tactic -> Void Ray xD I build up a Stargate in the corner of the map, completly away from both my base and his base so that he doesn't detect it and I allways win like that. On PvP I bet on Blink Stalkers, they're awesome. I simply go for 3 gates, research warp gate, and go for Blink. While blink is being made, I keep spawning stalkers and as soon as the blink ends I grab all of them and attack and I usually win like that. Blink stalker micro owns... a LOT

Ofc there's allways other viable tactics, you can try DT vs Terran or even Zerg, you can try Phoenix harass like you're saying, it's pretty good as well etc ^^

I started playing protoss when I first got the game. Enjoyed them, but I've also played quite a few games as random. I like playing protoss because it feels like I have the most opportunity for a creative play. Warpgate technically keeps thing interesting and the units are fun. I wish their air units were a little more fun to use though. Void rays are lame in small numbers, carriers really lack any micro, and phoenix are super micro intensive that it becomes hard to manage much of anything else.

I love morphing dark templars into archons after detection comes out from the other team. I love how collosus just charr the things they attack. Sentries are fun if played correctly. There is just so much you can do with Protoss.

I guess we should go in terms of lore to help you out choosing the race since you're not sure at all. Did you pass the campaign? Do you know the story of Starcraft?

Random. Because I'm horrible at the game online, but I like a surprise. I've also developed the habit of walking away during the waiting and loading period so I don't know what the other player picked.

Terran here too. I just love the machinery that the Terrans use and the gritty feel they exude. Bunkering up with 6 Marines or whatever and Siege tanking the hell out of the enemy is hella fun

For the Swarm! Join the Zerg if your playstyle is passive macro, quick tech switches and adjusting to your opponent while throwing an overwhelming amount of units at them lategame.
