I like playing F2P MMO's and trying out new MMO's just to see what's out there. I'm interested to see what your favorite F2P MMO's are (F2P meaning Free 2 Play no monthly sub), this can mean a optional cash shop though. So far my top F2P MMO's are;
(I'm not counting Lord of the Rings Online current switch to F2P, obviously this game is more polished than all the rest imo)
My Top 5 MMO's;
1. Global Agenda (On release this game was a bit of a failure, upon the few new patches the game has already grown a lot better. It's a very fun game PvP wise, PvE wise it is lacking terribly and shouldn't be played for PvE alone. Considering the deals of about $5-15 dollars for the game I had to count it as F2P even though it technically isn't.)
2. Allod's Online (Very polished MMO, even on release and technically the #1 spot if you don't count Global Agenda. I played some open beta and enjoyed it, but the leveling was too slow for my taste so I took a break and went back on release. It's still a very solid game, tons of classes, open world, a very good choice for those tired of WoW and want to give something else a shot. Be warned though, like most MMO's this game has taken many things from WoW and ends up feeling a lot like WoW at times.)
3. Vindictus (The thing about Vindictus is that it is easy to get into and have fun quickly. It is an action MMO and is very fast paced. The only problem with it is it doesn't feel like an MMO, you go into instances where you fight mobs and a boss at the end. Leveling up is fairly quick which adds to the fun, if you like action MMO's, this is by far the best out right now until TERA .
4. Dungeon Fighter Online (I love the art style and concept in this game, its another fast paced MMO. If you like arcade games with MMO attitude, this game will be a better choice than Vindictus.
5. Runes of Magic (Another AAA F2P MMO, only problem here is the cash shop is bigger than a lot of F2P MMO's. You can literally spend a ton of money and become amazing, I hate MMO's like that, BUT, putting that aside it still is a very polished game with tons of things to do.
What I Still Need To Play;
Dungeons & Dragons Online
What I Played & Didn't Like;
Maple Story
Flyff
Runescape
The list goes on....
Most Anticipated Upcoming MMO's;
