    Worse gaming community

Mine would have to be the Arma 2 community.

You ask a question on how to do something and they will eat you alive, or just ignore your thread all together. All I have to say is, good luck trying to get software help on those forums...

Yeah and HON, a lot of RTSs actually, I remember once asking on a SC2 fan forum like this one about the basics of pooling and how to time harvesting and got massively flamed for just asking when I was new to the game entirely.

sorry to hear that, the sc2 community is actually a lot better than WoWs. basics will always get your flamed in any game, and in sc2 there's challenges and stuff in the game that teach you them.

Yep DOTA for sure, people there don't care if you are just starting, they don't want to help you out, just flame you...

    World of Warcraft.

All people do is QQ, Blizzard do a pretty good job considering the size of their game, and the complex coding it takes, the community take the smallest things and complain about them, regardless.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, im not knocking the entire SC2 community just that perticuler forum, I play a lot of RTSs and the quest I asked wasn't really basic I wanted to know how to get the most out of resource gathering I was just really suprised how negative the replys were for an honest question ^.^

Worst community I've ever encountered is the Dota/HoN Community.

PUGs are Blizzards version of reality TV, put five random people together in an enclosed environment, and watch as the drama unfolds

Yep, HoN by far. There's no game currently available that has a worse community.

I'd also have to say DotA/HoN. It's perfectly understandable though. Most games have training maps, missions, or whatever to teach you the basics of the game, and plenty also let you control who you play with to some degree (skill-wise). Dota doesn't, and you usually have to rely on your team in Dota, so having one terrible/new player can really ruin the game for you.

Both sc2 and wow have pretty good communities imo, since there's quite a few people in both that are dedicated to improving things for others.

I recently started playing LoL, and HoN and Dota seems to have much worse communities by far... Also Starcraft community bad? what?

I have had nice experiences with Single player games communities.
The best one is The elder scrolls 4: Oblivion

95% of the FPS communities compete for the whorst imo. Along with DOTA, HON and LOL.

HoN, (and DoTa although i never played it.)

If you auto attack, you will be flamed as a "noob feeder faggot, kill yourself" etc, instantly. If you feed at all, which is quite easy to do when new or not paying 100% attention, you will be screamed at instantly generally by your whole team. If you miss one of your skill shots, you will be instantly flamed, etc etc etc.

I'd have to agree with HoN. I've never played DotA, but was interested in HoN. It looked fun. So I signed up for the beta, and tried to play. Since I had never played before, I just picked someone that looked cool, and joined a game. Instead of people trying to help you, they just berate you when you don't know what they're doing. Logged off and never logged back on.

Dota for me. Started playing and had like a 40% win percentage and a 2:3 kill death ratio. Got kicked from the majority of games. Apparently they didnt realise that for every person above .500 in any stat, there has to be at least 1 person below .500 >.> Did eventualy get to .600 or so in both stats, but by then i was banned on most servers for no good reasons, so just stopped playing

problem with dota / hon is that it's so competitive, that for some people, one loss feels like the end of the world :/ Even no stats games in hon when u just want to play for fun / try something new they rage even when nothing is on the line.

Some people also aim for the top so they can join the top clans in the world and compete in tournaments and have a chance to win money. (Very far fetched if you are going for that) So they can't stand losing even 1 game. Guess they want to have bragging rights and so on...
