The alchemist mount becoming available to all is just another product of Blizzard's laziness.

They didn't want to/have time to make a unique, flying two-seater mount for the other professions, so they just made the drake available to all.

Seeing the price of the mats needed to make it, I highly doubt that everyone will be able to craft one.

Now that the damage is done, I think they should have some bonus for the mount. I mean, it's a flask, so maybe something with Mixology? I don't know exactly what, but then again I'm not a designer, and these are just random ideas.
