No Prismatic Gems in Cataclysm?

the best i can find in AH are the +10 to all.
i also checked wowhead and it seems that JC doesnt have any prismatic gems in Cata.
the JC-design vendor doesnt sell any either.

i know but having a +20 to all, that counts as any color is much better

arent they going to introduce prismatic gems in this expansion?

Nor did epic gems.

They seem to have killed the prismatics. I recall it as Blizz seeming to dismiss them in general at the time when they took the JC bonus prismatics & made them color specific.

-edit- Rat does have a good point about epics not being around right at first in the expansion.

Prismatics were being used as an easy way to meet socketing requirements.
With the changes with colours and simplification of stats there is less need for such shortcuts, so prismatics are not needed.

In my defense, everything before Nightmare Tear sucked so bad no one ever used them. For all we know they've learned from their mistakes... either by not adding one until they can add a "good" one, or just not adding them at all.

enchanted tear was the best gem for blue socket for a few mele classes when there wasnt epic gems still,even enhacement shaman could even use the enchanted pearl depending on socket bonus and still be a gain over any other gem (this is a fact at least during naxx)
