Fish Oil and Shiny Fish Scales

Fish Oil and Shiny Fish Scales
The thread on people not looting reminded me of these 2 items which annoy me constantly while leveling in cataclysm. I understand that these items are a shaman reagent. However was it really necessary to make these items drop so frequently off of 80 to 85 level mobs? They don't vendor for any amount of money, and they don't sell on the auction house. They are white items and so auto-sell addons like selljunk won't vendor them automatically. They really are a pain and just eat up valuable bag space. They even drop in Throne of the Tides. Why bother putting these on the loot tables for a high level instance, to force players to toss them out of their bags half way through?

Word, it's so annoying because i tend to run out of bagspace pretty quick, and when i see those shiney fish scales from hell, and that unholy fish oil, it makes me wanna vomit.

It's not even worth my god damn time to vendor them, or even to delete them and hit the confirmation. WTB an addon that just deletes these outright the instant they show up in my bags.

They drop on nagas and fish, guess what's in throne of the tides?

First, poor you, you have to right click once for selling these, it's really a waste of time.
Second, how do you end up having you bags full. Buy bigger bags. If you have the biggest bags available : empty you bags more often.

Everytime i pass by a repair i stop, repair and sell all my junk. I carry all my raid food, flasks, profession items (inscription, fishing. archeology, herb) all my volatiles, potions, tabards, junk guild goodies And my bags are not even half full.

I can still farm herbs, i can get more than 40 stacks of herbs before i'm full.

Personally, its not a huge issue as I use a bag manager add-on ArkInventory and have all vendor trash stored in one spot automatically. Since I can set anything I want to trash, like drinks for a non Mana user these just go neatly into a spot I can sell to a vendor with no thought required.

I noticed these dropping off of hostile Tol'vir in Uldum for a while. That bothered me, but only because they were stone cat people in the desert. I don't know if that still happens.

Speaking about amusing whites that have followed us from 6 to 85 mobs, Light Feather anyone? I was so happy when I noticed that the owls in Twilight Highlands were skinnable that is was a major buzzkill to find a Light Feather on one. But guess what? All money counts!

Hybrid classes tend to walk around with 2 sets of gear, so ~ 16 slots are reserved for that. plus professions, pots flasks food etc.

With one bag devoted entirely to mining/herbing and another devoted to off-spec gear, along with a full set of food, drinks, potions, flasks, etc., I still have tons of space left over for drops. In fact I can't recall the last time I actually ran out of bag space on a max-level character.

These reagent costs have needed to go away for a long time.

My shaman is level 35 and hasn't seen a single fish oil drop yet. I've gotten scales but no oils. Haven't been able to cast water walking once since I trained it. They should shift some of that 80 - 85 drop rate to the lowbie levels before people can afford the glyph.

Solution 1: Remove those 2 items from the game and from spell requirements
Solution 2: Make them like light feathers, needed by priests and mages, drop of SOME mobs that the appropriate class can go farm if theyre to cheap to glyph for it.

They removed reagents from most spells in game (blessings, power words, arcane intellect etc.) but decided to keep the most useless reagents in the game, in the game :S

I know its possible to make a script that auto deletes certain items... could be a solution if youre a true fish oil h8er :P
