Prot PvP

Prot pvp is viabal works the best on raited BGs(as flag runner) and tol barad. while on arena you are just gimping yourself by not going arms or fury

(also fury is awsome for random BG sens they self healing is just awsome)

No prots are currently killing anything in 1v1 that has pvp gear.


1v1 with a dps that wants to kill you, as prot you will lose everytime.

This could not be more wrong. As a prot war with full pvp gear (all bloodthirsty with vicious wep/shield/ranged) I can take down almost any DPS 1v1 unless they're much better than me. I'm the same as you OP, I much prefer world PvP and messing around to hardcore arena, and for that purpose Prot is absolute gold.
