Longest Active Elite Wow Guilds

Can anyone think of another guild besides Deus Vox that has been around since Vanilla fighting for top in the world in PVE and held the same guild name the whole time?

You really need to learn how to count then.

Nihilum (old vanilla guild) merged with SK Gaming's PvE team in TBC (after they were beaten by SK Gaming to the world first Sunwell clear) to make twentyfifthnovember which reformed into Ensidia on the 25th of november.

So 1 merger and 1 rename, not that much tbh.

anyway, I think it's a bit useless to say that the guilds are still the same. So many guilds don't have the same members as they did in the begin, only some core people, and even guildleadership switched countless of times. The only thing that remained is the name, but how much does that count for?

But still. Ensidia is just little over 2 years old (or something like that). So wouldn't call that a "long active".

Not quite, as I recall it SK Gaming is actually the old Curse PvE team (SK Gaming being a cross-game team with major sponsors) and Curse had some trouble before that change.

Same here, after they lost the Sunwell race to SK gaming they haven't been quite as dominant, only grabbing a few world firsts throughout WotLK (and being completely destroyed by Paragon in ICC) and thus are not very interesting.

Method is indeed one of the old guilds. Been here since Molten Core, and are still one of the worlds greatest.

On my server there's a guild that has been here since the start of the game. Best guild on the server from the start.
And my old guild was formed in February 2005. Not hardcore or anything, but still an old guild.

I never remember hearing of Method or Inner Sanctum getting world first or close, but I could have missed it.

In reference to guilds changing, I know they do. That was why I mentioned specifically their name staying the same.

They were (and still are) competitive though, Method sure as hell is.

Method is World 2nd right now... So I don't know how you miss that if you follow this stuff at all... Or if you read the front page.
