I will say that I just came back from a bunch of us trying. No one can touch the demo lock. Felgaurd + Doomgaurd = Death. Having CCs and mana efficient DoTs also help =P

I have already done this with my mage and my guild.. Melee weapons WAS allowed, for casters too.. I won every duel there..

I'm a frost mage and i beat:

BM hunter
Ret pala
Disc priest
Shadow priest
Affliction lock
Sublety / Assasination rogue
Arms / Furry Warrior
Frost and blood DK
Holy Pala
Elemental / enhance shaman (Even with his fire elemental up)

So yeah, my best bet is frost mages..

As they have the huge advantage when fighting melees to have a pet freeze and slows, and while fighting casters, they have 50% less spell durations on them, meaning dots will have to re-applied so many times..

Then ofc there is the mirror images, the ice barrier, the 10k + crits with icelances and iceblock while your pet keeps on doing 3k hits with water bolt..
