First off...You plan to overclock at all?

Second, get a triple channel kit instead of a dual channel kit to take advantage of the X58's new memory paths.
Get a better PSU (Not called GPU btw). Corsair would be the way to go. If your PSU goes south, it will take your whole rig with it.
Go with a Caviar black instead of the green. Green is garbage.
Your GPU (Graphics card) is killer. That will last a while.
Case is pretty good, bit small, but good.
As far as mother boards go, I personally don't like ASUS's mobo's after many bad experiences. I'd go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128423
    CPU - i7-950 @ 4.1ghz
    GPU - GTX 470 @ 880/1760/2100
    Storage - 2x Crucial C300 64GB SSD Raid 0 / 1x WD CB 1TB / 2x WD CB 640GB
    Memory - 6GB Corsair Dominator 1600
PSU - 1000W Coolermaster Silent Pro
    Case - Coolermaster HAF X
CPU Water Block - EK Supreme Nickel/Plexi CPU Water Block
GPU Water Block - EK GTX 470 Nickel/Plexi GPU Water Block

I agree with Nickle. You'd be selling your system short with a dual channel kit. For better air flow/cooling I'd recommend the Antec 1200 Full Tower Case. I've been using it for several years now and I don't regret a second of it. Also, I'd recommend an "after market" CPU heat sink for you. The one that comes stock is usually pretty shitty. Don't get me wrong, it will do the job, just not a great one. Happy PC building.

Can you guys recomend some Triple Channel Kits? and what do you mean Caviar Black?

There's a triple channel kit. Note the three individual memory sticks. You can get the 6gb version (3x2) but it will cost a lot more.

They have a Caviar blue caviar green and a caviar black. Green being the lowest rung running at 5400 RPM and black being the best, running at 7200 RPM.

550+ should be enouth, and get a good one.
Most people buy kickass Hardware, and hang in a cheap China Import Power Supply.
If it blows, it takes all the Hardware with it.

Thank you all for your advice. I'm going to edit the parts out and see the total now. Although im keeping the Graphics card..

Graphics card is great. Don't worry bout that, but if you're interested in saving 10$ (though I doubt it) you could get the MSI GTX 570 and download MSI Afterburner and bump the clocks up to the EVGA one. Take like 10 minutes to do it.

Though for only 10$ idk if its worth the hassle.

I changed them, can you take a look now?

Also if you could tell me if I need another fan or a new case if need be?
    Hail Lord Bjor!

    All looks good.

I sent you a PM with a couple of cases to considered that would greatly increase air flow.

Otherwise you'd be pretty set with your current rig.

So it wouldnt need another fan or heatsink or something?

Edit: I did not receive the PM

Why last generation i7-950 when you can go for extremely overclockable i7-2600K for same price :|

  20. #20
You could run with an Corsair H-50 for an after market cooler that would provide much better temps for the 950. I just don't know how well it would work in that case. I think it should be fine, but I can't say 100%.

For working around stock settings, or a light over clock no extra fans would be needed. It would generate extra noise. But if you live in a hot area or it gets hot in the summer I would try a Corsair H-50.
