rep caster leather... seen any?

HI, just wondering if you guys missed a piece when you made exalted gear for the new quartermasters,
Hyjal-no leather at all,
Ramkahen-no leather at all
Earthen ring, no leather at all, but a nice physical dps ring that we will never use
wildhammer, nice caster belt and neck, nice physical dps gloves that we will never use

so, where does that leave us, wearing cloth? taking the 5% clip from the specialization awesome!
being one of the three boomkins actually left on my server, it would be nice to maybe reap some rewards for grinding rep

I don't think the intent was ever to get you epic'ed out from just rep grinding. 2-3 pieces is plenty to pair with heroic loot drop until raid drops. No class is getting everything from rep vendors.

There are 3 pieces of cloth caster items, that's for mages, warlocks and spriest.
There are 1 piece of leather caster item, that's for boomkins.

In some weird way that makes sense, but then again it doesn't at all. If the idea behind there only being 1 caster leather item is that we shouldn't get too many epics from reputation, then why are there 3 for clothies?

P.S. I only have 1 piece of epic leather from vendors as well. That's the way it is.

just curious why go exalted with any factions then? why should other classes get three to four free epics then?.........guess it just another balance druid gripe, il reroll like everyone else i guess. gg blizz

Therazane will get you your shoulder enchants and Guardians of Hyjal will get the helm enchant.

Personally, I don't mind only having to grind one to get my epic piece. I was able to get started on my Thera/Guardians earlier.

After that, there's always Ram for the camels?

Additionally, some of the epic pieces we clothies can use are not well suited to the class but raise our ilvl and provide a little more int.

Stat wise I have some epic rep gear that is ill suited to my class, i.e. full of mastery which is a terrible stat for some of us. I'll bet that the dps caster leather is well suited to your class, while the only really suited piece that I can get as a warlock are the epic boots from Uldum.

I can kind of sympathise with you, but kind of can't at the same time. Your gear looks worse yes but in reality we only have the tiniest of tiny advantages, which you make up for by being able to switch spec if you don't like it.

Rerolling due to what's available from a rep vendor . . . about as lame as it comes. Rerolling due to having mechanics overlooked and possible maximum dps . . . reasonable.

Dragonmaw = Belt (and yes, Spirit items ARE intended for Boomkins. Get used to it. They are not going to itemize Resto and Boomkin separately, except for your sets)
OH! And look! They give you an Epic Caster neck too! Who's the lucky caster who gets 2 epics from 1 faction?

Find a class with more than 3 FUNCTIONAL epics, other than a Priest (Spirit Belt from Hyjal, Neck from Dragonmaw, Boots from Ramkahen, Gloves from Earthen Ring). Cause I've already looked. 3 is the MOST epics any class spec gets. Yes, some only get 2, but them is the breaks. Welcome to having limited itemization room. If you want more epics, time to start raiding.

Note: For Alliance, replace Dragonmaw with Wildhammer. Same loot and stats, diff names. Do some research.

Nice fail, bro. Wildhammer is the ALLIANCE version and Dragonmaw is the Horde. They both have the exact same pieces, but with different names. Atlas Loot ftw?

Let me just toss this out there. My buddy is a Plate wearer, and has a sh*t load of rep gear. I'm a Feral and got one piece. There's the agi ring from Earthen and the cloak from Hyjal that I probaby shouldn't be wearing in the first place. Admit it, Druids/Rogues got bufu'ed in the rep here. (Boomy is OS so yeah, I know about their sit too. Get off my nuts)

Ramkahen I believe gives a 333 Ring...
Therazane gives a 346 Ring I think...
Hyjal Gives 346 Gloves...
Wild Hammer Clan gives 333 Shoulders, 346 Ring, and 359 Neck and Belt...

There's plenty of gear if you look. O.o

You got 2 counting the Epic ring. Every spec gets 2-3 epics, barring Priests who score 4. I had this argument in-guild, and had to show half a dozen folks wrong.

Rogue/Feral DPS - Ring, Gloves
Mage/Warlock - Neck, Boots, Gloves
Plate DPS - Belt, Neck (belt overlaps w/ Crafted)
Holy Paladin - Gloves, Neck, Belt (belt overlaps w/ Crafted)
Plate Tanks - Bracers, Boots, Cloak
Feral Tank - Gloves, Ring, Cloak (though Ring may/may not be optimized, it's not terrible either)
Hunter/Enhance Shaman - Boots, Ring
Elem/Resto Shaman - Neck, Boots
Resto/Boom Druids - Neck, Belt (belt overlaps w/ Crafted)
Priest - Neck, Belt, Gloves, Boots (belt overlaps w/ Crafted)

See: One class sees more than 3. Is having 2 that much of a HUGE inconvenience, that you have to rage about it?

Look on the bright side. Every spec who doesn't wind up with a Belt from a faction, gets no overlap from Crafting, since all armor profs provide a crafted Belt and Chest (which are all being given a socket in 4.0.6, so they will be equal).

If you want your Epics, then go raid. You're not going to get a lot of Epics from Rep Grinding. Why is this a hard concept? Get the Blue gear you can (That is iLvl 346) from Rep/Heroics and then go Raid. You'll get your epics if you have a decent guild.
