Battlegrounds while in LFG que

I have played since TBC and i know even the 40 min ques are faster then 1-2 hours it took in TBC era to get a group together. Still TBC system was superior if you ask me. Why?

Well its simple in TBC it did take 2 hours but in those two hours i could do battlegrounds, logg alts (and whisper group leader il be back shortly) , join a group to port someone and so on.

So basicly i could PLAY the game in those 2 hours not just sit in Shattrath and wait.

This new system has ruined this since most people now relly on stupid LFD tool to get groups making my old way of grouping obsolete.

I guess i will never be able to rellog alt while waiting for dungeon again but it would really help if i could at least group with people to port them and jin battlegrounds without leaving dungeon que.

Besides this even when PUGing the old way there was much more socialising and fun in such groups, people were from your realm so there was much less acting like an asshole and ninjaing items.

Maybe i be trippin but old system is much better then this if you play DPS.

you're right when u say that u can't log out and play a alt or do bg's, and i agree that was an advantage back then. altough in those 40 minutues of waiting you can do daylies, world pv, duel, farm mats / professions, play the AH... well you get the idea... they key is to adapt!

you can allways try to spam the trade channel to get a group

Well l cant say I support everything you wrote, but I want what you wrote in the title: Battlegrounds while in LFG Group. At least they can make it so that, if you have more than 30 mins of waiting time, you can enter a BG; because otherwise if you enter BG with less than 30 mins of Q, there is the chance of dungeon Q popping while in BG, resulting in random loss of competitors. But I dont think battlegrounds can stand more than 30 mins nowadays, so they can allow such type of thing imo.

They should allow BG queue alongside dungeon queue.
Why?
Can you not queue for 2 different BGs at the same time?
Can you not join the first one, then choose to join the second one, leaving the first group high and dry?

Let you queue both and, if you choose to join a dungeon while in a BG, you will be replaced by next in line.
If you choose to join a BG while in a dungeon, again, you will be replaced by next in line.

Fact is, people join and leave dungeons and BGs for many reasons, why not allow a different queue pop to be one more reason?

I could see them eventually allowing us to queue for both BG's and LFD at the same time, but as soon as one of them popped, you are automatically taken out of the other queue, because they don't want people 'jumping ship' from a BG to an LFD when it popped.

As long as they put the deserter debuff on the target, I would see no reason not to do it.
People leave BGs and randoms all the time for whatever reasons.
If they choose to PVP or PVE while doing the other, they get their dungeon CD/deserter debuff so they can't queue for another of the type they just left until it wears off.

On a side note, random BGs are not focused on in any significant way, only Rated.
You can't join a Rated BG unless you have a group anyway, so you wouldn't queue for Rated AND dungeons at the same time.
Random BGs are just skirmishes where people leaving doesn't really have that much impact as there are others to fill their spot (regardless of class/role, mind you).
I think they should allow you to do random BGs as a time killer until the RDF pops.
