In rated bg's when i get resserected it sometimes gives me my imp when im affliction and had my fel puppy out
this happening to anyone else?

Yes, this does happen. I have rez'd with my imp several times when I had been killed using the felhunter.

Read about that previously and it seems that if you have an Ebon Imp spawned from the effects of Bane of Doom when you die that can trigger an imp to be summoned in place of your usual pet.

I do not use Bane of Doom, so that is never a cause for when it occurs to me
