    New Laptop for University

I'm in need of a new laptop for University that's capable of running WoW (Not 25 mans on Ultra graphics, 10 mans/PvP on Low is fine). Budget is £400-£700 since it's a second comp and it wont really be used that much. I think I may have found one but I'm not sure on the graphics card. If you could give me some info on what I found I'd really appreciate it, also looking for suggestions that may beat what I found of course ^^

    What I found: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pav...86197-pdt.html

Well. On low settings the lappy you posted is likely to perform decent.

But 5450 is a weak graphics chip considering the 5650/6550 are in laptops still found for a decent price, so I'd try looking around for a laptop with one of those, alternatively the Nvidia counterparts 425M and onwards. When it comes to CPU, as we know this matters for WoW, I'd rather go with something Intel. Seem like an Intel i3 330M outperforms that Phenom II with a pretty noticeable margin going of notebookcheck.net's benchmark results.

All the Intel i3s within that price range all seem to have integrated graphics or Intel HD graphics which are both a no imo.

I think the only thing I've found so far is: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-pav...24643-pdt.html
But the screen is 13.3", going to start searching eBuyer in a minute.

if you live near uni/car distance just drive your PC and dont bother buying a whole new laptop. then again you can always pay for 1 extra suit case if you go buy plane.

As long as refurbs are allowed I'd like to throw this one in:

A 5470 is still a low end graphics card, so I wouldn't expect amazing performance out of it. You should be able to do most 5/10 mans and PVP but you should expect your fps to dip low in certain situations.
