Besides OS/Games what else are people putting on their SSD's and noticing huge improvements. I was just curious.

Wow. I am out of touch.
I had to look up what an SSD is.
If you love someone, you will focus your life on their happiness.
Ok, unless SSD's (never used them) are really different than HDD's there's no way really to increase a drive's performance by putting anything on it but maybe a bag of ice could.
I do believe it's a Soild State Drive aka a Hard Drive.
Bits and bites sucka
Ok, perhaps I should clarify.
What programs do you put on it. They aren't exactly in unlimited space, so I wanted to know what programs they were dedicating their SSD's to besides the operating system and games.
Solid State Drive

I personally don't own one yet at the moment , but I imagine people put many different problems on to them depending on what they use them for. Myself personally when I get mine, I'll have my OS, WoW and Adobe CS4 on mine. I don't know for sure if it will make much of a difference though.
I will tell you one thing I dont put on it and that is my wow folder....it would just take up way too much room on my 130GB SSD...I keep it on a 1TB backup drive.
That rather defeats the purpose. Placing the WoW folder on the SSD allows information for WoW to load faster (addons, textures, models, etc), decreasing load screen times and lag time until models appear in game (for instance, hearthing to Orgrimmar/Stormwind there's usually a bit of lag time before everyone shows up).
I have OS and WoW on mine, along with basic stuff. I also have two 300Gb Western Digital Velociraptors in RAID0 for a storage drive, though.
One thing i wouldn't put on it is games.
I would put the OS and programs that actually need speed, like Photoshop, After Effects, Maya...
Operating system.
Programs.
Games.
I have drive C:, which is my SSD, and drive D:, which is a 500GB hard disk. I have made a symbolic link to redirect C:\Users to D:\Users, so all my user crap (Downloads, Documents, etc.) ends up on the hard disk seamlessly. See how to do it here:

Besides OS and Games, applications I use a lot, Firefox, Word (keep the actual documents on another drive), video/photo editing software, ect...

Not putting any of your games on it seems like something of a waste. I had wanted to explore fraps again. My current rig is a major pos and can't fraps and play any game really at the same time. With the large amount of data that's passed through fraps however I don't think I'd put it on my SSD

The only SSD I have is a flash drive which just has a bunch of general AutoCAD images and some projects I worked on.
