1. Claw back some of that gold by using vellums as targets, at least for the higher level enchants (350-375+).
2. Put your disenchant button in your actionbars in a slot with a keybind and disenchant many things in one go by mouseover and pressing the button.
3. Use this macro and vary it for target and enchant (again bind it to a key):
Code:
#showtooltip
/run CloseTradeSkill()
/cast Enchanting
/run local s for i=1,GetNumTradeSkills() do s=GetTradeSkillInfo(i) if (s=="Enchant Cloak - Superior Agility") then DoTradeSkill(i) end end
/use Enchanting Vellum
/script ReplaceEnchant()
4. Dump all your BoE's from your other toons to your enchanter for disenchanting. The mats should generate more gold than the items regardless of level. A good bulk email opening addon is EasyMail.
5. It is sometimes cheaper to buy BoEs from the AH and disenchant for mats, than buy the mats outright. Good idea to check for every expensive mat.
6. If you have another crafting profession, you can often craft items very cheaply which can be disenchanted for mats (JC and Tailoring come to mind).
7. You'll make FAR more back from high level enchanting (and some low level ones) to scrolls and selling on the AH than you have ever spent in levelling it. I'm not even counting gold from creating mats. That is, every copper is worth it. Enchanting is easily one of the core professions to make a lot of gold as well as being useful for yourself, your other alts and your guild.
Finally, if you think Enchanting is expensive to level, clearly you haven't levelled Blacksmithing or even worse, Engineering to a high level (especially without Mining). At least Enchanting is super useful and a huge gold maker!
