Ghost in my house?

First of all I don't believe in ghosts but there's some weird stuff going on in my house so maybe you guys can tell me what you think.

I recently turned 20 and I live alone with my dog, no one else in my house. I have an alarm system set up that I turn on every time I leave and I put my dog in this little office room so he doesn't destroy and eat my living room while I'm gone. Anyway, here are the things that have happened.

- When I leave for school I turn off the lights/tv/etc. Sometimes when I come back everything is turned back on.
- I set up my alarm clock every time I go to bed and sometimes I wake up late because I find it across my room along with the batteries
- When I go work out in my basement I leave the door open and when I'm finished sometimes it's closed
- There is a bathroom in my house that I never use and sometimes the door is randomly opened
- My dog only growls when someone knocks on the door but sometime he does it randomly
- When I'm on the computer I hear noises outside my door and stuff being knocked over in the kitchen but when I go look everything is normal
- My tv randomly turns off when I'm watching
- Sometimes when people call me I hear the phone ring once or twice and then it stops. I call the person back and they usually ask why I hanged up on them
- Sometimes I leave random objects somewhere and they end up somewhere else (some of these might be me but sure as hell not every single time)

I'm sure there's more but I can't think of it right now. And no, I don't live in a creepy old house where people have died or been murdered. This house was built like 3 years ago. I don't do drugs or have any mental illness. So what do you guys think?


EDIT: Thanks for the comments guys, some were helpful and some made me laugh. I haven't checked my attic but I hope there's not a squatter up there or I will be pissed. I will also set up a cam on my living room and if I get something ill post it here.

EDIT 2: Just got home recently and damn this thread turned out bigger than I thought. Anyway, I have set up a cam downstairs and in my bedroom so hopefully something happens tonight.

Now I will answer some of your questions.

- I checked the attic and no there is no hippie or anyone for that matter living there
- I live in Canada so there is no way in hell that I would have my windows open right now
- My dog is usually with me when doors randomly open/close
- I triple check sometimes and make sure that I leave everything off when I go out and my dog is small so he can't reach a door knob even if he wanted to
- I don't think I throw my alarm clock across the room at night because Its not within reaching distance. I keep it far away so I HAVE to get up to turn it off, otherwise I just turn it off and keep sleeping
- Yes I live in a house by myself, my parents pay it for me and they are in a different country so I doubt they randomly fly here to mess with me

EDIT 3: I just got home a few minutes ago and checked my cams, one of the cams stopped recording like 10 mins after I left so maybe something is wrong with it since it's pretty old. My other one is newer so I will switch them tomorrow and see if it still messes up.

On an off-topic note I think my dog is sick =[ he's only like 3 and I don't think I've seen him sick before. Hes acting weird and shakes randomly like hes scared.

My best bet is to call a medium to be sure.

nothing there, don't get a medium, get a scientist. mediums are looking for paranormal actvity to be real, they will lie to make it rea, scientist only look for facts. there is nothing there. no documentation of anyone ever being harmed by so caled paranormal activity so why worry?

Call your electricity company, tell them to fix your power.. (really), and watch your dog, he/she might be smarter than u think.. Also, u can buy a webcam, and monitor your house while u r away/different room.. :P

Before you jump to any conclusions try videotaping the area with the most activity, something that would be the most obvious. The door to your bathroom is a pretty good bet since you'd never accidentally use it. Hide the camera in case it's a squatter like someone suggested so you get accurate results.

Try the TV somewhere else in the house to check if it could be a wiring problem or at a mates place to check if it's the TV itself. Don't jump the gun and get mediums and seances etc in your house before you've been logical about it.

I believe in ghosts, I just think people are often too quick to jump to that conclusion.

Is the dog out there? My cats make a ruckus sometimes with no apparent damage.

The rest of it seems like some odd electrical problem, and a bit of a draught.

Quick question for you - have you done any kind of remodeling to the place? We lived in a home that needed some repair and remodel so we began the process of removing an old built-in cabinet, removing paneling on the walls etc... what we did not know at the time is that stirred up a bunch of creepy stuff. My children heard the sound a man screaming or coughing. Items being misplaced and bad dreams. One night I felt that someone sat down beside me on my bed and another time awoke to a face staring at me. We moved. If you are indeed serious and it's not just a joke - cleanse the house and order the spirit out.
