I've looked around on their site, made a site-account and got a beta inv, I must say the classes are simply awesome, like the graphics.
Are people planning on playing Rift atm? I'd like to see your opinions on this one.
Kinds regards,
Xliz

I am considering it. I was hyped for cataclysm and i feel like i already hit a wall of boredom. A lot of people seems to feel the same...
Guess ill wait for the next wow patch and then decide if i change
Got an inv for Beta 6 downloaded it friday, Logged in Played for a while.
Preordered Collectors Edition Saturday
However I have not unsubbed WoW, I will juggle both for a while.
I am not going to "switch" for Rift but I am definitely going to buy it and play it, due to only really playing wow on raid nights.
My name is Legion, for we are many
going to play wow and rift ^^
Thanks for the replies ppl! I think I'll order the collectors edition too next week ^^ I'll play both too then
No offense, sir, but you could have easily gleaned your answer from the hundreds of existing threads on the topic.
I personally doubt I will.
I'll likely wait for the first price drop, the game has a lot of potential, but 60$ is just too steep to me for something I'll play when not raiding (which atm granted is 5/7 nights lol)
My brother and I are going to buy it, He is in the beta and from what I have seen of it so far looks really great.
at the moment (after having been in the rift beta since...the third one I believe) I think I'm gonna stay with WoW. to me rift didn't feel like a game, I'm not sure what about it didn't feel right, but there was something just a little off. I missed the 5th beta and just got my 6th one loading so I'm gonna try it again and see if it's still the same, but for now WoW is it.
No i don't think so.. Rift seems ok i guess from what i have seen, but it will just become like Guild Wars or something like that... Games that trys to compare with wow, but end with a fail.
Nope, doesn't bring enough innovation to the table IMHO.
I don't doubt that RIFT could potentially be the WoW killer. Although there are some minor imbalances and bugs in the game, it is a lot less glitchy than WoW and seems to be managed quite a bit better than World of Warcraft for such a small staff (compared to Blizzard's). And, even though there are designated roles, the roles of dps, healers, and tanks is much different than what most would think (you would have to play the beta to understand, its hard to explain) and there are such a wide variety of combinations of classes to be it is impossible to ever get bored.
Depending on how dumbed down 4.0.6 is going to make everything, I may pick up Rift ONLY due to the fact that Steam is running a special on the game, and I can get free TF2 stuff as well to go with it... even if I don't play beyond a week or two, I'd still like the items regardless (lol)...
Played both beta 5 and beta 6, doesn't really bring anything new to the genre. I'll wait and see whats the endgame like after the release.
