What Raid will always be your favorite

Lately there has been talk in my guild about what fights where fun but really difficult to do, last night we talked about both Ulduar and AQ40.
He said that he loved twin Emps and loved mimi hard mode. it got me started again on how much I loved Ulduar.
That instance was amazing, i did it when it launched and somehow found myself still doing it for fun right before Cata launched.
Yogg, Mimi HM, and Agalon will always be my fav fights from there.

What Raids will you always love despite them being old or you being over the level cap or them not even existing anymore (ZG, Naxx 60, Ony 60).

    Top 3 for me are

    1) ZA
    2) BT
    3) ZG

Kael'thas is my favorite boss fight though :P

    *edit*

Should add that Ulduar is the only raid I have never done but I always hear good things about it so it might have been on my list

My raiding cherry was popped in MC, but I didn't really like that raid much, boring IMO. My all time favorite raid would have to be Kara.

ZA was a lot of fun to, unfortunately my guild only managed to get the bear once and went to our GM

I never played vanilla, so I will never be "fond" of those fights like many people are. The one that I miss most is Black temple. Of the WoLK fights, the only raid that I will miss is Ulduar. Many of those normal modes, while nice, were not as good as some others. The ones I will miss most are Freya (hardmode only), mimiron (all modes), steelbreaker last, XT hardmode, vezax (hardmode only), yogg (besides no light, i did not care for no light, liked 1 light the most), thorim, (all modes), and algalon

My top three based on boss design, dungeon aesthetics, richness of lore

    1) Ulduar [Bosses were well designed, the dungeon itself was both massive and beautiful, and pretty much every story in the game comes back to the Titans in some way, so anything Titan-related is an instant loregasm]

    2) Icecrown Citadel [Normal modes were pretty boring in most cases. For heroic modes, the three I'll always remember are Putricide, Sindy, and LK himself. Those things were brutal, but rewarding. Aesthetically, ICC was magnificent. Everything flowed properly, I always felt like I was storming the enemy stronghold, and frankly, I just love the shades of blue used in there. From a lore perspective, ICC was golden. You really can't go wrong when it comes to the story of Arthas and the Scourge, since that branches off to Muradin and the other Bronzebeards, Illidan, the Forsaken, the High/Blood Elves, Ner'zhul and the Orcs, Lordaeron, Jaina and the Kirin Tor, etc. - it's just saturated with lore]

    3) Karazhan [The bosses could have been more engaging, but this WAS the entry-level BC raid, so I can forgive it. Aesthetically, it's a big creepy tower, not a lot to say about it, though I remember naming the skeletal gryphon at the top Charlie and that will always stick with me. As for lore, it's certainly not lacking, though a larger than normal portion seems to have been "tossed in"]

As a bonus, for the worst raid ever, I think it's universally agreed that ToC was ass.

    1. Sunwell - Even the trash was tough, this instance provided consistent challenge that any raider could only hope for.
    2. Karazhan - I spent more time in this raid than any other. The music, the atmosphere, it was all so brilliant. I spent many nights with my g buddies drunk on vent clearing this place, I have many fond memories of it.
    3. AQ40 - Challenging, fun, exotic - it was far and away the most fun I ever had raiding during vanilla. The loot design, the boss/terrain design, C'thun, it's just a big massive bucket of fucking win.

1.Ulduar (awesome looks, some awesome hard modes, good story behind it)

2.Sunwell (awesome encounter design, difficulty led to a great feeling when you downed 1 of the bosses)

3.Karazhan (probably the best looking raid ever, some fun bosses, good replayability as it wasn't too challenging to run it with alts)

AQ40 might have made it onto the list if the instance wasn't just so incredibly ugly looking.

Karazhan, Black Temple, Ulduar all lie pretty close on my list, with Karazhan and Black Temple being slightly ahead.

I love running around exploring the mysterious corners and rooms in karazhan, the epic feel of actually breaking in to the sewer in the black temple, then fighting your way up through the dungeon and Ulduar for it's awesomeness on all levels.
