    Another question...2nd hand setup

Stress! Been offered the below setup by a friend for £550 all in

CPU: AMD Phenom Black Edition 9950 X4
    GFX: ATI 4870 X2 2Gb Ram
    PSU: 1000Watt
    HD: 2 Seagate Baraccudas 200GB
    MB: Asus M3A21-MVP
    RAM: 4GB Crucial Balistix
Disc Drive: 2 Asus Light scribe Drives
    Case: ThermalTake Kandalf LCS
    Screen res is: 1440x900
    Windows 7 Ultimate

    Pretty sure it's also watercooled.

Main concern is the processor, given that wow is more CPU intensive than GPU...So any thoughts/comments/suggestions appreciated.

I had a system with the 9950 in it, not overclocked, and it actually limited my fps in northrend just flying out in the open. I was using a Radeon HD4890 as well so it could easily deal with the settings back in Wrath. When I built my new system with the i7 my fps went up dramatically in all areas, especially crowded places, and this with the same HD4890 graphics card.

First Phenoms (the four digit ones) are well-known to be rather unimpressive and underperforming, so I wouldn't touch that setup for WoW use. Also £550 is rather high price for anything 3+ years old.

    Trolling should be.
