    Claws of Torment/Agony

I have recently picked up these two weapons from lucky drops and was just wondering if the proc chance out ways the the loss from having strength on the off hand instead of agility. My current weapon set up is the two epic PVP fist weapons as they where the best available at the time.

Another question is if/when Maimgor's Bite drops is it worth using that in the off hand and torment in the main hand and ignoring the haste proc?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I'm not sure of the answer but I'm guessing the proc is why they have diff stats... Can fit more classes and even out due to proc. Just my guess though.

I believe the haste does weigh out the stre on the offhand, i believe you still get "minor" ap from the stre so it isnt a whole massive loss. As you have both id use them both.

Thanks for the fast response you have confirmed what i already assumed, Strength does indeed give 1AP per point where Agi gives 2 and also converts to SP.

To answer your question, No Maimgor is superior to the strenght offhand even combined with the haste proc.

While probably not fully correct you can do the math based on EP values to see how the weapons outweigh against each other, the proc if i remember correctly trickles down to 180 haste constant.

While haste is a pretty terrible stat and you need to sim it, 1000 haste is far more valuable than 130 AP or whatever it is.

Maimgor's also has hit/mastery, which are 2 of the best enh shaman stats you can get your hands on. Maimgor's is currently BiS until you can get your hands on the axe from heroic nef iirc.

Haste is our worst stat. Even the 1000 haste proc doesn't outweigh the extra AP from Agility. (It averages to something like 180 haste rating)

Not to mention having a Haste/Mastery when there is a Hit/Mastery option.

I have also found that Maimgor's is the best offhand choice. Combine it with either the MH Claw or the Axe from Nef.

just faceroll 2200 and roll with them /sunglasses.
Still looking for a reason to come back...

    Torment/Maimgor > Torment/Agony

But last time I sim'd it on my character the different was minimal and pre 4.0.3 since then I think haste is a bit beter for us due to Windfury change. Best way is to just sim it yourself with EnhSim and see the difference, really does depend on other gear you have.

Yeah haste has slightly increased in value since the last patch so it is worth the sim. However Maimgor on the OH with Torment MH will probably be better.

Cookie's Tenderizer is, for the majority of people, better than any epic option short of H Nefarian's axe in the offhand.

The Agony OH is very supbar, and the proc is absolutely not worth replacing a Maimgor's. It MAY be worth replacing a blue OH (except Cookie's in most cases) but would probably better serve as gold or a Maelstrom Crystal.

It looks like you are saying that Cookie's Tenderizer is better than Maimgor which is obviously not the case. Probably just reading it wrong but wanted to make it clear for others reading the thread.

That's debatable. If Maimgor's is indeed better it won't be by much. Sim it to see for yourself.

If ? it's obviously a direct upgrade, there's no discussion regarding whether maimgor's is better than cookie's tenderizer.

    Did you even bother simming?

No need for simming it. Maimgore's has Agi instead of Strenght, higher DPS, and the same secondary stats but just more of them. There's no reason for simming it - Maimgore's is obviously better

Surely more weapon dps, higher topend damage(and low end) more stats and agility over strength.
How can it be worse in anyway what so ever?
