About Us

Victory Call was founded in the fourth quarter of 2009 - Our initial goal was to become one of the top 5 guilds on the realm. We succeed.

Now we strive to maintain our position as one of the leading raiding guilds on the realm.

It is our vision to be among the top international guilds on the realm able to clear all content while it is still relevant. This will allow us to attract the best players on this and other realms. We take pride in our players' ability to put the guild's progress first and foremost.

We aim for a solid roster allowing us to bring the ideal players and classes to the hardest and most demanding encounters. During progression raids we select the best raiders based on performance, class, gear, and other factors to ensure that we dominate the raids and bosses as soon as possible. For farm content players will be rotated in on boss fights for specific loot, achievements, etc.

The typical age for our members is around 20-25 years. The guild as a whole is a warm and welcoming place, with a lot of people who love everything about WOW. We like to promote a social and helpful atmosphere in and out of raids. Outside of raiding a lot of our players are active with PVP and we also have our fair share of achievement chasers as well as Friends in the guild. World of Warcraft aside, we have players who enjoy playing games outside of WOW. These range from other MMOs, first person shooters, SC2, etc. Our Ventrilo is always very busy with plenty of people to chat to.

For people with Alts that aren't just their herbalist or source of income, we also enjoy Alt raids and gearing our Alts. We encourage players to have Alts as this give us more flexibility and also increase a wider understanding of other classes and roles.

Our DKP system is designed to reward high raiding activity and guild loyalty. New recruits are allowed to win items if no raider needs it. After being promoted to raider, there are no loot restrictions.

What we are looking for

We are seeking some fresh new faces to add to our roster for raiding in the up coming expansion. We are seeking to rebalance our healing team slightly with the addition of some extra players. With the Heroic modes coming up, we need abit more variation available in our healing setup.

Goals and vision of Victory Call
VC aims to be able to clear all possible PvE raiding content. This means all normal, hard mode & heroic modes in both 10 & 25 player instances. Our raiding times

We schedule up too 5 raids a week depending on progress and the amount of content initially available. As well as progress and farm raids we arrange the occasional achievement and mount runs, most of our members have both the 10 and 25 Ulduar and ICC mounts.

Raids Times
Sunday - Thursday 19.30 - 23.00 25 player dungeon (normal/heroic)

Skill & Experience
You need to be able to play your class and talent-spec well and understand it completely to improve all aspects of your character (including your gear, enchants, gems, glyphs)

Active
You need to able to guarantee a steady activity of minimum 3 full raids per week (4 or more raids per week is a plus!)

Knowledge
You need to be able to understand boss fights quick without making the same mistakes over-and-over. The ability to keep up-to-date with latest changes to class and game mechanics is also a must.

Control
You need to be able to control your character, this means using keyboard(shortcuts), macros, Addons and know how to use the camera!

Interactivity
We do not look for players that do not like to communicate in guild and on the forum. If you do not desire to discuss raids or class issues with your fellow members, VC is not a guild for you.

Dedication
We need players that understand that practice on harder boss fights require patience. The path to progress is built on the path of many wipes.

Attitude
We need players that have a mature attitude. Although we do not have any language rules, we do not need to see a constant flow of foul language or requests/desire for loot.

Guild spirit
We need players that understand that first kill progress is good for the guild. We do not want players that cannot be in a reserve position from time-to-time if the raidleader decides that is required for that moment.

Hi, I play a Resto Druid but don't have raid-standard gear. I'm more than happy to do all I can to improve, just need the experience and the chance to get better gear. Is it worth applying or should I try PUGs to get gear?
