Distress over the sandybridge mobo situation

I put my money in and purchased all the components for my new pc. I bought my Socket 1155 mobo from a site that I had never used before since most good sites took them down. I now have all of my pieces BUT my mobo and I just found out (7 days after I payed for the thing) that they do not have the mobo in stock and will be returning my money.

So now I have all my pc components sitting here with no motherboard ;[

I can't seem to find any motherboards anywhere (and no I don't care about the bug in the chipset at all, I just want my board) and it is getting very destressing.

I haven't seen any announcements of when new boards will be released and the only 1155 socket mobos I am able to find currently are M-ATX.

Honestly, I am just complaining, and maybe fishing to see if anyone knows of a place selling 1155 mobos?

What are others experience with this whole stupid recall? I am damn unhappy about sitting on $900 of components with no motherboard.

I'm possibly thinking about returning my i5200k and just buying a Phenom II or something. I would die if I had to wait to use my new rig!

Didn't they take them down because of major problems with the sandybridge architecture and flaws with SATA drives? I thought there was a big push to recall a bunch of the sandybridge technology until it could be fixed.

There is nothing wrong with the processor, the architecture is fine, it was the chipset on the mobo that controlled the SATA II ports that was flawed.

The sata 3g ports have a fail chance and why would anyone use a Sata3g when there are Sata 6g? Certainly not me, thus the bug does not matter to me.

I would return your processor and wait for AMD BullDozer. Rumors are (and according to some leaked graphs from engineering sample processors) that a quad core BullDozer CPU running at 3.5 GHz beats out a quad core 2600k Sandy Bridge running at 4.0GHz. Intel is gonna get owned.

Honestly, unless you find one on ebay you will not find an 1155 board from any respected retailer, they are recalled. I'm not even sure if they are allowed to sell a recalled product.

I would just wait, they are gonna be out again soon. I wouldn't return at the potential expense of shipping and restocking fees just because its gonna take a month or two. Your parts won't go bad or anything. And hell, having to look at their boxes might make it all the more satisfying when the board comes :P


Edit: but then again I am impatient myself so I don't know what I would do in that situation. I've never encountered it.

Don't get butthurt when it doesn't. And don't get sad when your bulldozer can't even reach 5 GHz. That's what my rumorsite I just started is telling me, and I consider it to be way more reliable.
