i'm doing game development in college, so it's pretty normal to hear people discussing if so and so game is good or not. but what really pisses me off is a "special" type of gamer.

if you frequently visit game review websites or game forums, you probably heard this train of "logic" before: "_______ game looks ugly, therefore it's a bad game".

everytime i hear this, i want to punch something in the face. it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. you dont like the graphics/art, but how does that make the game horrible? i could understand if it's "graphics affect the gameplay negatively" or "buggy interface", but "looks ugly"?

how, oh how does your dislike towards the game's art have any relation with the gameplay? oh wait, you never played the game before because you think it's ugly! OF COURSE!

and this is why we can't have nice things, people. companies must always please the dipshit demographic begging for pretty graphics, over innovative gameplay and immersive storylines.
