    GTX 480 and ARTIFACTS everywhere!?

I'm using GTX 480 with latest drivers: Forceware 266.58, but it keeps showing artifacts when I try wow in 1920x1080 with ultra settings, artifacts start to pop up whenever I turn up my water ingame up, anyone know what could be problem and how to fix it?

How hot is your card when this happens? Is it overclocked?

It's not overclocked, but Im using MSI Afterburner to change my fan speed to 100% all the time, I'm using d3d11 in config file and in wow.exe shortcut, it's SET gxApi "d3d11" and in shortcut: -d3d11 but it keeps removing that line whenever I re-enter wow from my config files?!?

I think it's the latest driver. I'm having the same issue after updating my drivers.

Try rolling them back to the previous drivers, see if it persists. :P

    BTW

    Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.5GHz
    4 GB Ram DDR-2
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard (i think it's) Packard Bell MCP73PVT-PM with some onboard videocards? Chipset GeForce 7100 and Southbridge nForce 630i
    Bios: AMI P01-A3 07/21/2009

Noticed weird thing throught CPUID CPU-Z, it shows that my CPU Cores sometimes jumping from 2.5 Core speed to 1999.8 MHz, how is that possible!?

I've stuck with 186.18, never had a single issue with it ever.

same issue on gtx 460 its the drivers just install the older versions and wait untill they've fixed it

and btw using gtx 480 with those parts is really a waste since u can't get full performance with it anyway without having a modern computer with ssd i5 or better and ddr3 memory

i changed from 5770 to my gtx 460 and i have similar computer specs like you and the performance in wow was barely noticeable

The GTX 460 and the HD 5770 are quite close to eachother performance-wise anyway..

took off one of sides and now heat dropped in WoW (ULTRA everything 1920x1080) from 98 C to 75 and when idle from 65 to 45-55... also reinstalled drivers from 266.58_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql to 260.99_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_w since there was problem with artifacts on ULTRA when runned on 266...

It's standard and shouldn't use any ram, my 5770 uses "2GB" aswell.
