    How to remove Blizzards Bossframes?

    Hey guys,
ever since I started raiding in Cata I have had these big obnoxious bossframes on the right hand side of my screen. they only appear once I engage a boss. You can see them on this screen:

i have tried to remove or disable them but I haven't had success yet. Does anybody know how to get rid of them? Since DBM provides smaller, sexier bars for most bosses, i have no use for the Blizzard ones whatsoever.

    Thanks in advance,
    jivo

thank you, i have tried MoveAnything, but it does not seem to work correctly. I can still see the backdrop of the original frame.

I've made an addon with the help from awesome Treeston that hides them. Just download my interface, and withdraw the addon called "Hide Boss Frames" from all the other addons into your own addons.

Hey, i can't find that addon in your interface, not in the "simple" nor in the "unique" directories. Did you incorporate it into something else, or does it have a different name?

Just looked, and it's inside all of them. Just go into: Interface < AddOns

You found it? Or else, I think I can upload it as an addon inside wowinterface.com or/and curse.com.

It's either because your unit-frames mod doesn't have a module to hide boss frames or it does and you don't have the module enabled.

    PitBull doesn't support this.

Why doesn't the author add this inside PitBull on base? 0.o

Shadowed UF supports its own Boss Frame as well, lets you customize it. Super handy I found.

Hiding the frame just avoids the true issue, we need an addon to customise the boss frame. Its a very useful frame, apart from the default version of it is impossible to read.

Has anyone produced a stand alone addon yet that lets you customise the boss frame? I'm thinking of something similar to Gladius. Otherwise I'm just waiting for Pitbull to upgrade.

StUF and SUF support the boss frames, and so do properly coded oUF layouts. Pitbull4 is... working on it.

    Macro: /run for i=1,4 do local frame="Boss"..i.."TargetFrame" frame:Hide()

Boss frames are used to display notable NPCs in some raid encounters (eg. Mushrooms on Brackenspore). Given this I would encourage you to find a unit frame addon that displays them to your liking rather than hiding them altogether.

oUF, Shadowed Unit Frames, VuhDo and others can all do this now. Really useful to have good boss frames in my experience!

Edit: Ugh just realized this was a necro. Apologies, mod feel free to delete!
