so as far as we are aware firelands is the only confirmed raid for 4.2 then? if it's the only raid that could be iffy, but with the extra time blizzard may make an additional raid to accompany it.
<3 Dark Legacy!
Watching the Blizz vid.. Is it just me, or were they hinting at a BlizzardLand? Like, DisneyLand but with Blizz =O
Looks cool, forlorn spire sounds like a a place to stick a 5 man, but meh.
The dev zone pretty much spells out no flying unless they remove, which I doubt it as they probably place bets to see how long it takes for player to break into them.
(Not that I have a problem with that.)
PS. We need a mount made of lava with hardened lava armor
looks interesting...I'm kinda curious about what they may add besides the raid and daily quests now.
Points still there. It's get geared raid get tier gear and other drops new raid tier get new raid gear get new drops and teir etx. Come next xpac level get geared raid get tier and raid drops then go on and on. No matter how you look at it it takes time for getting gear either way. I also belive i said if done right.
Why are people so surprised that Fireland has fire and lava? Are you guys 10 or just plain stupid and want something to complain about no matter how stupid it may seem?
I love these type of comments, "OMG WTF BLIZZ. FIRE AND LAVA IN FIRELANDS? SO UNORIGINAL. THEY COPIED OTHER GAMES WITH LAVA AND FIRE IN THEM GOD".
And the MC comparisons. Other than lava and fire there is pretty much nothing else in common. This is a giant ass palace.
also i think its safe to confirm there will be fire/lava spiders.
arachnophobes i feel sorry for you.
They're delaying raids until 4.2 and giving us a large new questing zone? I swear Blizzard is just so lazy...
/sarcasm
also given its relatively small area i think the forlorn spire might be a 5man dungeon, or something else of significance.

also can anyone find a point of reference so we can figure out somewhat how big this area is?
Why? What possible enjoyment is there is in gathering a whole separate set of gear for one zone/raid? It just screams: "We only want people with too much time on their hands to do this raid".
Edit to add:
I'm from the "old days of gaming", I played all those games you're talking about. The most irritating and frustrating part of them was spending hours wandering back through areas where you were some sort of demigod of death to pick up some item that you needed to kill something in the last dungeon. Most games need an element of grind, otherwise they go *too* quickly, but minimizing the grind is a good plan. Right now WoW has essentially four tiers of grind. Initial leveling to 85, grind to get heroic mode gear, then grind to get raid gear; on the side is the grind for rep which is part of, but somewhat separate from, the other three. That's plenty of grind.

Hehe, well I probably put out my words wrong since I got so many complaints by saying it. But yeah, like Sorrior pointed out, you had to do something in order to get forward.
These days I only log on if I'm going to do 1 heroic with my Alt or if it's raiding night, since there is no point or benefit of doing anything else. Everything is also so cheap because getting money is so easy, and even getting Dark Phoenix for 3k gold is the same as costing like 100 gold on vanilla.
That much of time (or the lack of) I have to invest on this game these days, that's it's not really a challenge as a whole anymore. =P
Why malfurions breach when it can be hold or nest or keep. insted of having almost the same as reach...
