Slight thread necro:
Temporarily moved to my parents for summer and got annoyed at the shitty ADSL speed, so I upgraded my phone plan to 4G (amazingly there's a 4G LTE network out here in the woods :O)
Not bad for something that only cost me a couple € more per month than my previous plan (19,60€/month), oh, and it also has no data cap
how much do you pay for a 40mbps or greater connection in your country?
100/10 fiber
Magnificent...
No speedtest since I am trying to cope without flash. :-P
Hello, I've been away for a bit, but I'm glad the thread is still alive and well! Suddenlink released a new tier. I just upgraded.
Arris SB6183 (Not available for sale)
This is over air, we'll see what it's like over ethernet later!
Finally got fibre installed. I can brag in Australia about these speeds but it's just depressing posting it here.
Wouldn't hurt having more upload so I can send work files quicker but no, I don't need any faster but it's depressing comparing it to some overseas results when we're being told here that no one needs more than 12Mb/s. I'm not actually depressed about the speed, a still get a huge smile every time I download something.
Also to be fair, the first thing I saw on this page was a 500/500 followed by a 900/900.

50MB/s dl, 100MB/s up 1 ms and only 12$ bucks a month for completely unlimited use and no torrenting regulations.
edit: Besides this my country sucks
Fairly content, but I'm suspecting its speedtest being the reason it do not reach its full potential in this test, due to this:
No bandwidth cap either , this being a 500/50 package.

Hmm, better than I thought it was.
The caged bird sings /with a fearful trill /of things unknown /but longed for still /and his tune is heard /on the distant hill /for the caged bird/ sings of freedom.
