    I remember when...

As World of Warcraft nears the 6 and a half years mark, a lot of things have come and gone. It's nostalgia time. Name one or more things you remember from the past that have either been taken out of the game or just no longer happen. I'll start!

I remember when the "jailbreak" quest event was one of the most feared quests alliance side. (Part of the Onyxia quest line for alliance)

I remember when Korrak would stand in the middle of a fresh Alterac Valley ready for a 3 day battleground

I remember farming Arcane Crystals from Rich Thorium Veins in Alterac Valley, especially in the troll cave

Well since I didn't see this thread the last time it came around I'll post a few.

I remember when the Swift Zulian Tiger dropped, the whole raid freaked. (When I really think about it, up until the mount was removed people freaked about it, but it was so much better when it was the whole raid of level 60s that couldn't solo the boss)

I remember when getting your 100% speed ground mount was an epic achievement.

I remember when flying was a concept that people wished was in the game.

I remember opening the gates of AQ 40.

I was mainly joking around :P There isn't one on the front page so it's all good.

I remember Seal Twisting, which seperated the good rets from the lolrets.

I remember leeching my way to getting my Dreadsteed.(600g? No way in HELL was I ever going to make that much money! Instead I'll go with this Warlock who happens to be doing it too.....)

    I remember Dishonor.

I remember being told it was impossible for Prot Warriors to AoE grind any sort of mob. So I pulled 6-7 non-elites at the Blade's Edge dailies for spite.

I remember walking to go anywhere till lvl 40...... then that slow ground mount seemed like flying.

I remember when after about level 12-15 you would actually see familar names in General Chat all the time and actual conversations used to occur for longer than "LFM VC", "NOOB USE THE DUNGEON FINDER!!11!". One of my fonder memories was levelling through STV and having a few people who you could chat with every night.

Also, like Spiffums said - waiting til 40 to get a mount. The most agonising wait ever. I remember when I got my 60% mount and I was like "Holy crap this is fast" then this warrior ran past on an epic mount ( ). I don't even think I got my mount at level 40, had to wait until 45 if I remember correctly.

I remember when Lay on Hands had a 1 HOUR cooldown.

Pretty much wept when I used it on accident. Also, I never used it because a 1 hour cooldown is ridiculous.

I remember when i had my white staff from a Blacksmith Vendor in Menethil Harbor, and had it from level 24(or something)-27(or was it 29?).
I remember when i discovered that the color stuff was written with actually matters.
I remember when i after farming BGs (and discover BGs) got my first blue, a cape, in level 30.
I remember when i was in level 40, and wanted to go to Tanaris, the only way i could think of getting there, was to jump in the waters at that swamp with Jaina Proudmoore, and swim.

I remember how actually finding the instance portal in Deadmines was half the fun xD.

I remember how judgments removed your seal. It was a pain in the butt! Don't even get my started on 5 minute paladin buffs!

I remember 5 min loladin buffs.

I remember no Auras displayed on UI pre Cata.

    I remember dismounting in water.

I remember no speed buff while ghost form.

I remember elite quests taking days to complete, trying to find help.

I remember when your freinds/guilds was what brought you trough the tough tough game.

I remember looking for groups trough the LFG channel /4

I remember no ninjaing because that would mean server suicide.

I remember trying to make it in STV, due to lower level zones completed.

I remember when 600g was alot, & it took me weeks to get mount training.

I remember when Blizzard made insane un-human quest chains A.K.A Winterspring lolzaber, or AQ40 questlines.

I remember only having 1 talent tree without having a clue what to spec in.

I remember me & a grp of 4 freindly players to get owned by the same mage over & over again.

I remember ALWAYS failing in the last sec to get onto the Boat in STV & Teldrassil resulting in a nice swim.

I remember a cruel, cruel, unforgiving, merciless, World of Warcraft.

Paladin auras have always been on the default interface.
