    PvP-only damage modification

Colossus Smash now ignores 50% of a hostile player's armor (PvP), but continues to ignore 100% of a non-player character's armor (PvE).

After so very long of Blizzard keeping PvP and PvE tied together, I like this change. I think this is slightly overkill in a class that really only brings damage to the table in arena most of the time, but regardless I am ecstatic. Could this lead to more PvP/PvE separation for more classes? If Blizzard is leaning in this direction, I personally can't wait for more changes. I doubt PvP will ever really be completely balanced, but I think this is a step in the right direction.

Sure it is. Tooltips / functions for each aspect of the game = Class balance. They just don't like this idea. But they did it anyways here and somewhere else.
