Did wotlk get the 30% nerf yet?

most of you know when bc was released vanilla was hit with a 30% nerf (bosses deal 30% less damage and have 30% less health). Same exact thing happened with bc when wotlk was released.

Has wotlk had its time yet or no? Obviously I know alot of you are gonna say "well wotlk doesnt need it anyways so who cares"

I care and I'm sure I'm not the only one because of soloing old content. I want to know if I'm already going up against what the health/damage of it was before, or if its gonna be nerfed and easier to solo it with ease

...what do you think the 30% buff in ICC replaces?

  3. #3
Wotlk isnt getting nerfed. There was already the Buff in ICC, it is still on. I was in there tonight on my mage with 162k health.

...I dont remember ANY wide-array 30% nerf to bosses when BC came out...but i may be forgetting it.

ICC Buff. +30% Health and Damage.

They didnt need to nerf anything.

bc nerf happened during bc, btw

There's been no discussion of anything like that happening, I wouldn't expect it. As far as ICC goes, the 30% buff is still active at 85. If you want that sort of thing in the other WotLK raids, well, don't hold your breath.

They're practically already nerfed, due to the fact that they're tuned for people (dps, healers) to have 23-30k HP, and you have 115k in full blues.

"Troll", "Rehash", "Casual", "Dead", "Dying", "Exploit".

it will happen when blizz nerfs the exp. needed to lvl 70-80

The only "nerf" they did to any WotLK content with the launch of 4.0.3 was removing Chill of the Throne, cause every tank's overall avoidance dropped heavy, so it put things back in line.

Otherwise, no, no nerf was done, none was needed.

They already did, by 20%. That was also in 4.0.3

Try healing through the nwrubian guy in togc (trial of the grand cruade) there's a phase where any overheals over 25% heals boss. Man our healers were stumped, including the tree
also they nerfed chillmaw for the toc dailies back b4 cataclysm came out and they nerfed a bunch of stuff b4 shattering because they sidnt want underpowered 80s to die

The difference is that in BC, many of the bosses were balanced around having several bloodlusts and other gimmicky things that were a requirement to beat the bosses. WotLK patch changed a lot of these things in a way that your overall raid DPS suffered by a lot and the things would've been unbeatable without the nerf. There was no such wide effects when moving onto Cataclysm and a nerf wasn't necessary. Bosses died just fine, if not even better due to increased DPS of the classes.

They didn't say 30% but it was.

The OP said they nerfed Vanilla content by 30% when BC was released, which is false. That is what the person you quoted is talking about.

As others have said, there weren't any changes nearly as game changing as the changes to drums and heroism going from Wrath to Cata, so there is no reason to nerf the content in the same way they did BC. I vaguely remember a dev comment saying they weren't happy with how they went about that nerf, so I would be surprised to see them ever do something sweeping like that again. However...that thought is based on a post I think I remember seeing...but wouldn't even have a guess on when it was posted, so you can take that for what it's worth.

If I was false then you all know that raggy/nef/c'thun do less damage & have less health correct? Yeah my point proven. Back during 1.12 rag had 1.4m health. Now he has approx 1m...tell me how I'm wrong there?

Again 3.0.2 is pretty much wotlk, the only difference is that you didnt get the new content besides talent trees & new revamps. (also besides being able to attain the titles easy mode)

And obviously you guys are NOT reading my post clearly enough. I told you exactly why I wanted to know and who are you to judge how I spend my money & play my game. Wasting your time posting here telling me I'm wrong & that I shouldnt care.

The icc nerf wasnt a nerf. Thats icc, thats not the entire raiding of content of wrath

And this will become a trolllololol thread because you people are a little self minded to not read the post so why bother posting this

Regardless please read the first post before posting here. It has good info and you dont you dont deserve to be posting here

It didnt, just confirmed myself. Watched multiple videos of multiple bosses post 3.3.5a and pre 3.3.5a. The health has changed little to nothing

I think he meant the ICC buff wasnt a nerf, it was just some mechanic within ICC only

and no, the big "nerf" did not happen as of yet, and so, i doubt it ever will, considering the previous "big" nerfs came around a little bit before the new expansions hit the official game.
