Motherboard + RAM for i5 2500k SB setup

So i've been browsing around for a week and i've decided im going to get a i5 2500k CPU.
when it came to finding a Mobo and ram i got dragged in so many directions that im kinda clueless when it comes to chosing one.
Any inputs on what mobo + ram fits the i5 2500k the best? i would prefere getting a ASUS one since i've had those in the past. but i can be convinced into another brand.

What i've come up with so far is:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...d1caa80671ac66

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...-000-OE&tool=3

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82000676ac46f6

ram i got none. since so many are saying you need a specific "sandy bridge" RAM etc, so im looking for some input to this
Any inputs are of great gratitude!

Sandybridge is fine until 1.65v on the RAM just like previous Core i7/i5's, the "Sandybridge Tested" is mostly a marketing tactic. The MSI boards seem to have a few problems, but I guess so do many other P67's... Personally I love my ASUS P8P67 Pro as it overclocks very nicely and I love the extra features like external SATA 6Gbps controller and Bluetooth.

Yea i've been coming across ASUS P8P67 a few times. but decided to look away as people say that overclocking it with a i5 2500k was bad since theres No way to directly set a CPU voltage for overclocking.

Uh.. what? There's a direct way to set the CPU Voltage lol Whoever said that is a complete moron and knows nothing.

Here's a bloody screenshot of the voltage in UEFI Bios:

You can change it to either Offset or Fixed Mode. I'm not sure how else you can get more direct than that...

I love the Asus P8P67 Pro. I recommend it every time I see someone asking for a socket 1155 motherboard. UEFI is amazing, and it's just an all over good motherboard.

Yeah, tomshardware is a bunch of morons then lol(As per proof by my screenshot of UEFI).. Sadly newegg doesn't have the ASUS P8P67 Pro, I'd also suggest the P8P67 EVO but they're also sold out of that too.

3GB ram sticks? I think the Asus P8P67 Pro is Dual Channel. I'm sure there's some out there, but G.Skill and Corsair come in 2Gb/4GB.

As stated Sandybridge entirely right now is Dual Channel and not triple. I'd aim for some G.Skill Snipers, Ripjaws or Corsair Vengeance. Timing's don't matter much with Sandybridge either, I'd aim for 1600 or 1866MHz as anything beyond seems to give minimal performance increases.

Either of those are decent boards. After that you start to get into the Deluxe, WS or Maximus which tend to have more problems than anything.

I still think the Maximus is the sexist thing I've ever laid eyes on, but I'd never buy it. >.>

Alright, thanks for the help, going to give the p8p67 pro one a go, but first i need a break before i start looking for the ram.
Can say i'v got tunnelvision after looking and reading up on mobos etc for the past 14 hours.

i love the asus rampage/maximus brands. have rampage atm but the new ones are just silly priced atm..

one last ting, you said you got Bluetooth. and i couldnt find that on the PRO one, doesent that mean you have REV 3.0 ?

I can give you a great ram recommendation.
    G.Skill RipJaws X

Someone else is going to recommend some Corsair Vengeance or the like, they're both great. If you have the money, you could probably go for two 4GB sticks.

No. The Asus P8P67 Pro is > Than the Gigabyte GA-P67A. He wasn't looking for water cooling, we already pointed out some motherboards, and he isn't German (I believe) so using a .de website is useless.

I'm doing quite well with a normal P8P67 Asus board, 2x4gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM. I think it also depends a bit if you want to SLi/Crossfire. I don't really care to, so even though I'm an NVidia fanboi, I have a board that only supports Crossfire, but who caresssss, not like I'm ever going to want to SLI anyways.

I don't know how MSI, Gigabyte, etc dealt with BIOS and stuff, but I, as someone who has not tinkered very much with OCing, or BIOS settings find that the UEFI that Asus provides for their P67 line of boards is quite easy to use and very nice looking too.

I'm sure any mobo+ram would probably be fine though. I think it really comes down to personal preference and what options and choices you want available on your board.

Rev3.0 is the new revision for Sandybridge... aka B3 All Newegg sells is B3 Revision Chipsets btw. None of the "-M" annoted motherboards have Bluetooth. The "-M" is for MicroATX, so you want the ATX version of the Pro for Bluetooth.
