A device with GPS to narrow in on me so the rescuers can find me quickly.
Food to last until the rescuers arrive.

    Do I win?

No, because you were told you were staying there for ten years, and the stuff you brought with you was inadequate.

Someone of the opposite sex. I don't want to get bored being alone for 10 years. They should be hot looking too and want to be in the middle of the woods for 10 years too.

Plus all the stuff the first person said in their post.

For that I'd have to bring two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into locked a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Oh wait, that was just a weekend in Vegas.

I'm surprised that I'm the only one who brought a water filter (your food supply will be useless if you have Giardia, since you will have chronic diarrhea, which is in 99% of every wild water source. Yes, I know water could be boiled, but save the matches for cooking and seeds so far... all those who want to bring drugs, grow your own, and with sugars from grown fruit and local airborne yeast (they are everywhere) make your own booze!

A poncho, my hatchet (for woodcuting and shaping, for building shelter) my hunting/skinning knife (use skins from my kills to make clothing & bedding) & eating utensils, my hunting bow & extra string + arrows (I know how to make arrows and string if they break) a large magnesium stick (and a flintrock backup) for lighting fires, water purifier, a tent to hold me over until I have my shelter up, a pot and pan, extra boots/socks/clothing, a sub zero quality sleeping bag, and my sharpening stone (so far, what I'm carrying is not very heavy, to me anyways). I'll also grab a .22 rifle with scope, because the ammo is extremely light (I could probably toss a good 6000 rounds into my backpack and hardly notice the weight) and It's just as easy to hunt with as anything else... a bullet in the heart is a bullet in the heart.

And, last but not least, a sat phone and small solar panel to charge it with, so I could talk to friends and family and not go insane from being alone for 10 years.

Option B: shoot whoever is forcing me to live out there, go home and watch some TV

Creating a farm was actually front on my mind when I thought of this.

A .22LR rifle and several bricks of ammo. Do it right, and you can kill what you need with this, and a boatload of ammo is still light.

(minimum 2 each) Hatchet, knife, multi-tool

    5 Space blankets

Mirror, magnifying glass, and a magnesium fire starter.

    Water filter.

    Iodine.

A change of clothes (duplicate of what I would wear. You WILL get wet)

Extra pair of socks and boots.

Fishing line / tackle / maybe a small rod.

    Trapping wire.

    Parachute cord, twine, rope.

Survival first aid kit, and a boatload of Excedrin.

Crystal radio, hand cranked flashlight, a couple books, journal.

So you can sleep in 4 star hotels and "pretend" to survive during the day?

Meh. If I brought anyone, I'd bring Les Stroud.

Technically Bear's show is not about him surviving out in the wild its about him telling you how to do it. I feel like at the very least he would be a nice resource of knowledge.

OK, I'd hope to meet up with you out there since between our stuff we are covered (I forget the iodine, flashlight, rope and extra pair of socks!).
Edit: I'll bring a pen for the journal.

Hehe. I'm teasing mostly. Bear would kick my ass.

But Les would keep me entertained.

    A knife.

Yeah, I'm as badass as that.

And I'll go after the one who put me here. And I'll kill him. And all of his cooperators.
