    Dual monitors

So I'm setting up my dual monitors right now, currently running Windows 7 64bit. I was wondering I could just have my iTunes or something similar in one monitor, and the rest of everything else on the main one. Am I able to use different backgrounds or settings for it?

I'm a design student, and i've got dual monitors. I use one for all my design programs and WoW and anything major. the 2nd monitor has all my web browser windows, instant messanger, and even movies.

    Get this here: http://www.displayfusion.com/
Helps when dealing with a dual monitor setup as Windows does not come with the options provided with this program.

Yeah there are several different ways of going about it. I just let it have the same background because it doesn't really matter to me. I usually have the game up on the main screen and anything else I got going on on the 2nd.

Yes, just drag it to the other screen.

UltraMon is what i've used for a long time. Haven't compared it with Display Fusion, but it does everything I need it to.

Like I said, it does everything I need it to do, and I never had to pay for it.

    Hi..

I'm using Actual Multiple Monitors. It has the best functionality ( see wiki/Comparison_of_multi-monitor_software)

I have dual monitor setup and im always running or 2 games for example WoW and Eve, one in each monitor or playing in one and watching a movie or web browsing on the other, the beauty of having the mode Fullscreen Windowed in games makes that happen, you dont need any special software for that, just set you graphic card to dual monitor, changing wallpaper on each one i think requires other software for that i guess.

I can second the use of display fusion for easy dual-monitor wallpaper set-up. It was the first thing I tried, didn't cost me a dime and did everything I needed it to. To most it may not matter if the the monitors are just duplicating the same image, but I am quite fond of having one large image spread across the two. It starts to feel less like you have two monitors, and more like the second is purely an extension of the first.

Just make one great Wallpaper out of the two you want. voila..no software needed..
thats what i have done. no need for extra software which needs to autostart and slow down bootprocess

Here's a wallpaper made for dual monitors, it's what I use on my dual 24"s. split it with paint or something relative to your monitor size.

    And yeah, use DisplayFusion.
