I've just started playing an old RPG named "Arcanum". I had played it in the past but only got about 20% of the way through before forgetting about it when I started with WOW. It came out in 2003 and it's just got so much depth.... It's basically a single player (although it does have some very poor multiplayer option that might as well not exist).

It focuses more on character development and the story than anything else. You basically have a technology tree and a magic tree and you can choose to focus on 1 or mix the 2 although focusing on 1 will generally give better results. You can develop you character into some huge meleeing ogre who kills their way through the game or you can focus on diplomacy etc... it's actually possible to complete the game without killing anything if you are smart.

It's absolutely huge with basically limitless options. Unfortunately since I haven't played it in so long i'm having to read through the 200 page manual to remember what to do so I can get the most out of the game.

I think if WOW took a few ideas from Arcanum it could have been an even better game.

I've really been looking more and more on Magica, but don't have any1 to play it with as it seems none of my mates are interested. Do u think that it's worth a shot despite this fact?

Magica is alot of fun with others, not so much on your own. If you have steam try the Darkspore beta, this game is looking AMAZING! Im already addicted.
