Hey there, don't know if this is the right place to post it, but here I go anyway:
My PC specs are:
GTX 285 648MHz/1024MB
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2,4GHz
4GB RAM
Win7 32bit.
My games are running very poorly, BO & Crysis 2 are supposed to run at over 60 FPS on very high settings. But I think I'm not getting even close to 60 (on high settings, which is below very high), most likely 30-40 (Crysis) and 10-20 if there's a lot happening on the screen.
This says that it should be around 67 FPS (slightly less as I have a worse cpu), so let's say 50-55, but they tested it on very high settings. (for BO it's at 78~ FPS, again, not even close)
BO was very poorly optimized, but I thought that after half a year and various patches they might have fixed it, but it's still running really shitty. I have like 20-30 FPS if NOTHING is happening, when they begin shooting somewhere around me it drops to <10 FPS and I just can't do anything. Doesn't matter if I change graphics to very low or very high, it's always the same.
WoW runs pretty good, don't remember how much FPS outside of town, but in Orgrimmar its always at 15-25 FPS, but that may be a problem of the game itself. But WoW isn't that much of a graphics monster, so I don't really care about it.
I bought this GPU like 1,5 years ago and I always had problems with it, like games crashing, freezing... (MW2) Is there some program to check if it works at 100% or something? I'd like to check it out.
Is it maybe the CPUs fault? I don't think it's that bad...but anyway, what do you think? Why am I having so low FPS?
