Most annoying think for me?
People still crying about frost mages. People just blaming them failing on the class being "OP" when clearly it isn't (due to us being buffed in 4.1, 10% to frost bolt, and 10(or15)% more on ice lance with FOFF up). Granted I know that frost mages have really high survivability, and lots of slippery tricks. However lets look at the biggest Mage counterclass --- DKs
Mage trick one - 4 different roots, frost nova, bubble burst, imp cone of cold, and pet freeze
DK counter - chains of ice slow, strangulate to finish out the timer left on the root, or pet stun to break casting
Mage trick two - Ring of frost/Root combo
DK counter - easy to pop AMZ on top of RoF, giving it little to no use, even if the RoF freeze applies DK is still taking considerably less damage from AMZ, if the DK is frost, range damage can still be applied through HB/Dcoils while AMS is up to keep the mage from nuking at full strength
Mage trick three - Deep Freeze
DK counter - IBF stun break, no need to explain that one
Mage trick four - Blink, gap opener, 20 yd separation
DK counter - Death grip. 30-35 yd range(if i remember correctly) instant gap closer, if mage ice blocks it, and you don't have glyph of death grip and it gets wasted, completely your fault for being unprepared.
Mage trick five - Iceblock, pally bubble without wheels, no damage incoming, no movement outgoing.
DK counter - ...wait? Mages are pretty useless in there aside from the pet being out there free casting, at like... 5k dmg per cast
Mage trick six - Mirror images
DK counter - AMS is always a good CD for them, keeps roots off and offers excellent survivability to LOS the mage and images, or to get up on the mage and cause pressure to force block during images
Mage trick seven - Evocation
DK counter - interupt, pet stun, strangulate, death grip. Evocation is the clunkiest self heal in the game right now, and won't be used unless LoSd with a snare up, or with somebody sheeped.
Mage trick eight - Polymorph
DK counter - pretty straightforward, trinket/pet stun/interupt to counter this ability
Now what I've described is a fight between two extremely utility heavy classes, that can be one anothers counter class if played correctly. I understand that not every person can be a DK, but most classes have some sort of equivalent to a deathknight/frost mages abilities, not perfectly the same, but close. I don't see any class having a substantial hard time going against a frost mage and not getting completely decimated, unless there is just a completely terrible player behind the wheel.
Just what peeves me the most about the game currently.
jinxx here,
I hate those damn boomkins because they're always eyeballing me loot. MY LOOT I TELL YOU!!!
Cyclone. Hands down.
| Gantzie [Warrior] (Main) of Mors Certa, US-Kil'Jaeden | Saej [Shaman] | Truckette [Paladin] | Aelo [Rogue] | Volgia [Warlock] |
For me (enhancement shaman) it would have to be rogues, and their ability to reset a fight if they dont kill you in their first wave of cd filled stunlock chains. I dont mind losing, but I hate losing to a rogue I out skill but since he has a million more cd's than me, he can restart the fight and keep me cc'd while out of combat while waiting for more of his cd's. Its not skill, its a chicken shit play style that needs to be gotten rid of.
[Banhammer, Kungen's Bane]
1.60 sp mace
150 str
268 sta
77 defense
80 dodge
93 parry
"As you look upon the mace, you hear the whining of a thousand fanboys. Something deep with in your soul makes it impossible to think anything but 'lol.'"
Hunters - fill up a fantasy niche while still being restricted. In essence, there is no way of making an alternate class more 'ranger-esque' with out having an off version of a hunter
Dks - very limited animations and graphics. Death and Decay is probably the only interesting graphic we have (compared to Thunder clap, Priest and Pally wings, FoK from rogues etc). Even howling blast and blood boil are tiny blips before they're gone.
Paladins - too many yellow buttons. Seriously.
Meh, can't think of any more.
About other classes: Cyclone: undispellable, can't bubble it, and makes you immune to your mana regen affects
About my class: Divine Plea: 50% MS effect, it is such an outdated mechanic.
priests getting to float around everywhere while im still stuck walking like a homeless dude and yes i know, rich people walk too. But i guess my biggest one is that theres practically no pally moves that arent "righteous" "wrath" "divine" etc. i mean i get pallys are defenders of the light and stuff, but its a little over done

FREAKING BEAT HIS FACE IN- argh he's whiddled me down..
Pallybubbles....cmon the only thing in the game that makes u completely invulnerable
Mage icelance spam

This ^^^^^
I pugged Grim Batol with the Dk alt last night, I had to educate 2 players about CC......
I was especially surprised when the resident lock in the group failed on the fear twice, then summoned the courage to ask which was fear, to then not have it Glyth'd and aggro a second pack in the pull.
I am by no means a Veteran of this game only starting in 3.0
But I distinctly remember studying each spell as it came, trying to slot it into a pre-determined situation it would be useful for.
It has taken me all this time to level a 2nd alt lol I just enjoy my lock too much.

Lota people griping bout cc but rly blizz mase most classes cc viable for dungeons just after cataclysm.
my exampl: lock fear it used to e a noobs emergency spell but now its viable for cc ( talking pve wise not pvp)
I still think pallys shouldn't be able to cast any healig spells durring their "get out o any situation" free card because every other class can't do anything durring their invulnerability state
also mages using blink in pvp, even though its fairly unreliable overnrough twrrain and going uphill
