[A] Upcoming Reroll Project - Looking for Officers

What is this?

This is my idea to create a successful re-roll guild which will hopefully last for a long period of time if I manage to find like minded people with the same goal and vision as me. And for the moment, this thread is only for recruiting Raid Leader/Recruit Officer/Class Leader etc. Recruiting members will come in a later stage.

So if you have previous experience with leading a guild or being in any sort of assistance with the leading department in the past and you feel like you have what it takes to join me on this, keep reading.

The Guild
Ok, let's start nice and easy. The guild will be a casual/semi-hardcore guild.

- What does that mean?
Well, it means exactly what the words are telling you, the guild will be raiding casually but still have the same set of minds as a hardcore player has with the same skill, focus and ambition but as I've said, on a casual level meaning we will only be raiding a 2-3 days a week.

- Ok, that's sounds good, but what's the goal with this project?
We are striving to create a guild where you feel like you are playing a game, because after all that is what we are doing, and we want to create a guild where you can find new people who you can call a good friend, we want you to be able to just hang on ventrilo/teamspeak and have a chat like you do with your in-real life friends. You know how this will affect your performance during raids? BRILLIANT!

It is scientifically stated that when you are around a group of people you feel comfortable with and don't feel nervous and that you feel like you have something to prove, your performance is at a high level at all times. Think for a moment when you have been in a completely new guild as a trial if you haven't felt nervous or something similar when raiding with strangers. And then think for a second when you have been playing with your friends...You feel alot more confident around your friends, yes? Exactly!

- Ok but how will we get to know eachother so good?
If you participate in this project, you will ofcourse start a level 1 character, you will, if you want to, participate on our conversations on whatever voice communication software we will be using, and level 1-85 doesn't take 1 day, and during that time you will be able to ask any of the other levelers if they want to quest, do instance, pvp or just have a chat on ventrilo/teamspeak and during that time I guarantee you that you will get along and become great friends, that is ofcourse if you aren't a total douche

- How about the guildname, server, lootsystem, website etc?
You will be apart of deciding those kinds of things to an extent, I have already decided some of the stuff mentioned there but when I choose you as an Officer I will explain all of those things to you and why I have decided some of the stuff without you, but don't worry, if you are truly here because you want to be apart of the project itself, those things won't matter that much to you.

But we will together decide stuff like the player base, raiding type, raiding hours, raiding days etc. So you will have your say

Who Am I?
I am a guy(d'oh!) living in Sweden. I am 23 years old, I am currently employed at a great company!
I think of myself as a very calm person, lighthearted and loyal. During my sparetime which means when Im not playing wow or working, I am doing some graphic designs for websites and visual effects for short films, music videos, intros, you name it. And I am also active in some local music events from time to time, where I also create my own music which I rarely have time for.

Anyways, to the WoW Scene. I started playing WoW back in 2005 when it got released in Europe. This was my first MMORPG so I had very little experience, but immediately when I joined my first guild I felt like I wanted to run a guild of my own, I love being able to organise other people and events and basicly everything that comes with the territory of leading a guild.

During my years in WoW I have played every class there is in-game, which gives me an advantage when it comes to being a guild leader, I have also been in a couple of guilds during my years in wow, the most succesful guilds started for me in TBC and has been going on all the way until this day, I have been raiding on both causal and hardcore levels.

My biggest achievement when it comes to leading has to be in WotLK, I was running a 10 man guild which started out with a couple of RL friends just for fun but later escalated into a semi hardcore guild, we were still casual but we had players with the hardcore minds which made the raiding SO MUCH MORE FUN! we could still focus on our stuff outside of WoW but when it came to raiding we were so focused and eager to be number 1! And we were number one 10 man guild during ICC in WotLK. That is also one of the reasons why I wanted to start a new project, because I loved leading that guild so much, I want to experience that again.

Besides my leading experience, I have also been a regular raider for most of my raiding years, cleared all end game bosses there is from first Naxxramas to the first raid content in Cataclysm.

Who Are You?
Ok, so this is where I want you who is interested in the officer position to pay extra attention!

You've hopefully read about me and who I am, so if you have experienced almost the same thing as I have and are in the similar boots as me, that is a good start because then we will hopefully get along great.
Before I can even consider you, here are some requirements

• Ofcourse, after have reading everything I've said up until now you agree with me
• You are atleast 20 years old
• You have previous leading experince, GM/Officer/Recruitment Officer/Class Leader etc and you can prove it.
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Good and clear microphone
• Good temperament and ability to handle players without causing drama
• Motivation to keep raids going even if you've had a bad day
• Always updated on current and upcoming boss mechanics and the ability to articulate yourself clearly
• Ability to control the people on ventrilo/teamspeak

Here are some qualities I see fit you as a Raid Leader/Officer

• Reliability
• Knowledge
• Communication
• Prioritization
• Timing
• Decisiveness

- Why should I participate in this?
• Because first of all you are looking for a change, for a fresh start
• You want to be apart of a cool group of people you can call friends
• You love leading and wouldn't want anything else than to be apart of the leading department
• You want to make a change, you may not see it but being apart of this can actually change you as a person, you can become more of a leader type, which is great in the real world
• Being apart of this project may increase your social abilitys

I am not giving out a specific application form, if you are truly experienced and have many years in your backpack as a raider or leader, you know how to make a decent application and after reading this thread you know what I am looking for.

And after that, you are welcome to come online on mIRC and have a chat with me at #reroll.cata.2011 @ QuakeNet where I've created a channel so you can come and just socialise until this project starts for real!
Finally one important aspect about these applications. Do not log in and start spamming people on IRC about your application, this will only annoy them and make your recruitment less likely.

And we have received some great candidates for the Officer positions but we are still looking for more interested applications.

We are looking for an officer with HTML/PHP/Photoshop skills who would be interested in creating and managing the website and such instead of creating a free site, just for the professionalism of it.

For those positions I am of course expecting you to roll either a Melee or a Healer and still follow the same guidelines as for the Officer position, so the Recruiting Officer thread still applies to you.
