Poll: Do you like to tank/heal?

I've been seeing a lot of people lately saying "most people don't like to tank" and/or "most people don't like to heal", so let's see what "most people" really think.

I like to tank BUT Ive never tried healing because I dont play a class that could. So maybe I like healing, too =)

  3. #3
I'd rather tank but I do both

My main is a holy paladin and my main alt is a blood DK. I don't like DPS as much as the other roles.

DPSing, at least on the five-man level, is boring. Tanking and healing keep me interested.

    In 10/25mans, anything goes.

This game wouldn't be complete without tanking. Also, even though I personally hate healing, I know people who love it, and I love them so much for loving it.

My main is a pally, and Prot and Holy are more viable atm than ret imo so I am enjoying raiding both.

I love healing but I've never really gotten around liking tanking, it's just not my thing.

I enjoyed both in LK...since then, well, I cant stand healing, and they've made tanking unenjoyable for me.

I detest feral and blood (I've been frost since about 3.2, was unholy ore farmer before :P), My warrior, meh, he's dead. And both pallies are foreve dead, as I can't stand the holy power system, but I loved tanking on him in wrath.

i prefer tanking/healing to dps. i hate waiting for queues, i hate interrupting on a dps too bc i just like watching my meter go sky high.

tanking is mad fun bc theres always something to do.

healing is mad fun bc i can 1/2 afk most of the time, or leroy pull heroics or w/e (my healer is danked out)

I am kinda "meh" on the tanking part of my paladin. I don't mind healing on my priest. Do I like to do either? Eh, kinda. My paladin is protection because I don't like retribution.

I love to tank, more so as warrior tank than paladin tank.
Healing however..is not my cup of tea..it also seems like the most ungrateful job ever.

I enjoy both. My current main is my Resto Shaman. I played a DK DW tank through most of Wrath as well. My DK is on a different server from the one I play on now though, and I don't feel like shelling out the money to transfer him. I was working on leveling a Druid to tank on, but switched over to a Warlock because my guild has a severe lack of cloth wearers.

This thread probably isnt very valid because a lot of people on mmochampion are more into the game, a lot more casual players dont get on this. Most casual players like to DPS and dont get on mmo very much, so I'd say a lot more people like to DPS and dont tank or heal, even if this poll says otherwise. proof? Queue times =P

OT: I have a pally tank as my main and a priest that dual specced disc/holy as my alt, so I like both very much =P
    Pallys FTW

Well since there's no option about pugs/randoms I put " I like to tank / I do not like to heal" as reference for randoms.

I actually like healing alot more for raiding than tank, but healing a pug is like running your face along a cheese grater sometimes so I just gave up on it.

Voted #1, the only times I don't like tanking is if some brainless dps starts chainpulling if its obvious the healer can't cope n' already stated he / she didn't care for it.
Same for healing, its better then it was in Tbc / wrath except when a tank chainpulls n' he + the dps don't interrupt anything.., not that I care about dropping a dps or 2 if it required to keep the tank up, it just isn't promoting a faster run then if they tossed a stun / interrupt for survivability.., tbh I don't even care about diggin hard at the tank for not knowing what he's doing to the point where he /leaves with tears!

I tanked up to CATA. now? i hate tanking. its just not fun anymore.

though it also does not help my guild is destroyed by a idiot officer inviting his "friends" who are assholes and drove off the people that made the guild great.

Love healing and that's the only thing I do except rarely being a dps when we 2-heal a boss. Hate tanking and I kinda suck at it, just can't keep track on all the mobs.

Love being a kitty, but I tried bear again for the first time since Cata hit and I have to admit I liked it. I've been leveling another tank (Warrior), have a paladin tank planned to start leveling, and I'm about to start tanking on my DK again. I do prefer to play it 'safe' and DPS an encounter a few times before I try tanking it, however.

Oddly enough, I found that during Wrath I greatly preferred tanking for random dungeons and trash instead of raid bosses. Raid tanking just seemed kinda boring in comparison, very little challenge once you got your threat established, and taunt-switching isn't exactly an exciting mechanic. I hope things are more interesting in Cata.

For healing, I love my baby (level 72) druid. Love it. I've been leveling her just as a healer since the mid-40s and it's been a blast. Also have a level 50 resto shaman that I'm enjoying, but he doesn't do it for me quite the same way she does. I look forward to getting her to 85, she'll be my first healer at max level.

The responsibility associated with DPS is just to nebulous; you tank/heal or you don't.

Try not. Do, or do not; there is not try.
